Very nostalgic--reminds me of the good old days when everything was so good and godly. Thanks to Frank Patterson for bringing back the past alive today. CD was in excellent condition;otherwise how could I have enjoyed it time and time again.

I bought this album after falling in love with its predecessor, Faith of our Fathers, Vol. 1 (which is outstanding on every level: musicianship, arrangements, the soloists, recording techniques, variety). Volume 2 is not as good. The arrangements of the hymns are stale. The quality of the recording is inferior to the first album. More importantly, it seemed like every single song on the previous album left me feeling uplifted to heaven; this one doesn't quite have enough oomph to get me off the ground.
Maybe my expectations were too high after the first one... (Just like with the new Star Wars trilogy... ugh!) |
