Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
This is a hard book to find, and when it comes up as available from any one of the excellent sellers, it's worth purchasing. Copyrighted in 1963 by the Radio and TV division of a major protestant publisher, then released simultaneously by E.P Dutton, in this same year. Author/journalist Roland Gammon selects 57 prominent pastors, church leaders, statesmen, artists, authors, athletes, actors, movie stars, opera singers, and empire builders; and gets each of them to share their daily practical religious perspectives as each answers the question: what is your faith (like) and what part has it played in your life achievements?

My favorites start with Walt Disney and his emphasis on the importance of prayer; then comes great answers from: David Sarnoff, Bobby Richardson, Norman Vincent Peale, Steve Allen, Mahalia Jackson, Catherine Marshall, Eleanor Roosevelt, Paul Tillich, Conrad Hilton, and Bud Collyer. Watch for it from Amazon's great book dealers, and grab it when you can! ( Especially great for spiritual leaders looking for great short biographical perspectives and quotes ).
