5.0 out of 5 stars A Theological Lyrical Masterpeice!
When I found out the Da T.R.U.T.H was dropping his sophomore project I had to see what was about to come undone. Da TRUTH has matured lyrically. This album combines lyrics that spit smooth like talking face to face, in addition the heavy hitters that make you want to straight wild out. The messages are clear: combining storytelling elements with similies and metaphors...

3.0 out of 5 stars Maybe I need to give it more time to grow on me...
I've been listening to Christian rap ever since Dynamic Twins days back in the early 90's. I love what this rapper is all about and his lyrics are exactly what the kids these days need to hear. He's one of the only Christian rappers out there that is not trying to be like those secular rappers who talk about how good they rap and what they possess. His focus is totally...

When I found out the Da T.R.U.T.H was dropping his sophomore project I had to see what was about to come undone. Da TRUTH has matured lyrically. This album combines lyrics that spit smooth like talking face to face, in addition the heavy hitters that make you want to straight wild out. The messages are clear: combining storytelling elements with similies and metaphors that really make you ponder the word of God. He also throws in biblical stories which makes you want to go back and check out what happened in the bible even more. I also encourage the purchase of this album because the beats are on point, mixing fast and slow, a few new and interesting mixes. DJ Official shows up again in a great old school flow. BOTTOM LINE----THIS ALBUM SHOULD BE IN YOUR COLLECTION.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Gift From God to Hip Hop/Rap, November 1, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Faith (Audio CD)
I love this cd. It is better than his first release. My faves are Incredible Christian and Turn You Around (props 2 Shabach). I took my best friend from school to his release. She doesn't even like Christian Rap, but she loves it now! This cd is an exact example of what God wanted hip hop (holy hip hop)to be. Satan thought he had his hand on hip hop, but he doesn't now! Me and my parents love this cd. Go out and buy it!

This second album by Da Truth did more than the first! The beats are better and the delivery of the word is non-stop. I've never heard an artist so gifted. I listen to each song over and over again. It is good to know that an artist is using his God given talent to do Gods Will!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece, October 24, 2005

First things first. Ever since Truth's first album, I've been a huge fan of gospel rap. It was 'Moment of Truth' that really convicted me to live a truly wholesome christian lifestyle. With this album, he takes it a step further. The lyrics he spits on this album are truly inspiring and convicting to the point that I examine my own lifestyle and straighten out my own errors and flaws. Truly a message from the Lord, this album is not only going to convict the beleiver to repent, but also convict the sinner to get saved.

Truth matured greatly with this album. I can't stop listening to it. The production is TOP NOTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Words can not describe how this album is. Crossmovement Records is on point and im soo glad they've been releasing album after album this year. From The Phanatik to The Ambassador OMG!!!!!!! I am soooooo amazed at how far Truth has come in his writing skills. The album pushes BIBLICALLY SOUND CHRISTIAN HIP HOP to the next level. I am hoping Tonic is well enough to release his album.

The Crossmovement Family has done it again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterpiece!, October 31, 2005

There are many new Christian rap stars arriving on the scene. And this guy might be the best one of all. The beats and lyrics are annointed. This album and his debut 'Moment of Truth' will make you want to check yourself and get things straight in your life, as it did me. Its a shame these guys (Da Truth, Flame, Cross Movement, Tru-Life, The Ambassador, etc) dont get the radio airplay they deserve. But the time will come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Da' T.R.U.T.H. is just that.........., October 9, 2005
By
This review is from: The Faith (Audio CD)
Da' truth is: Da' T.R.U.T.H. is a gifted Christian rap artist from Philly, signed to Cross Movement Records and da' truth is also that gospel radio, even to this day, remains afraid and just plain scared of giving Christian rap artists any exposure; unconsciously, they've accepted the secular as the standard and remain in the dark on how Christ is using Christian Rap to speak to today's generation in their language. Cross Movement records, with each release and artist, is defining Christian Rap, while realizing that in due season, Christ will elevate this genre to its rightful position amongst the masses. One of the reasons why I admire the artist, Da' T.R.U.T.H. is because of his maturity, which he expresses so effortlessly in his lyrics. Indeed it was this attribute, along with his straight forward lyrical content that captured my attention on his previous release "Moment of Truth." It's no different here. "The Faith" speaks to, just where Da' T.R.U.T.H. delivers it from - the heart. My favs on this CD include, "2 is Better," "On Duty", a piece inspired by Charles Spurgeon, "Legacy" (a tribute to Cassie and Rachel, martyrs from Columbine High School and their loved ones), "Teacher?" and "Portrait" (snapshots of The Da Vinci Code). No more sophomore jinx here - Da' T.R.U.T.H. is just that.....The Truth!
