This review is from: Faith Without Certainty: Liberal Theology in the 21st Century (Paperback)
Reading the text from the perspective of a liberal Presbyterian and religious humanist, I thought this book was a good overview of contemporary religious liberalism. It stands alongside other works like: Theological Ethics and Global Dynamics and Radical Liberalism. It is very accessible, highly readable and a practical little text, in my opinion, for the parish minister.

The book was disappointing to me. It is written with an opaque academic tone. It seemed to consist of endless streams of summaries of what other philosophers have thought, with very little thought on the part of the author.
