Steve Green is my absolute FAVORITE Christian artist, and this album embodies everything that he stands for. These songs are very powerful. They remind us about all of the things that we need to be aware about today in our world--things like persecution, abortion, sin, etc... These songs have a kind of modern feel that expresses not only beauty, but also urgency--an urgency to stand up for the faith. It is very encouraging to know that there is someone like Steve Green who is not sacrificing his integrity. These songs powerfully display his absolutely fantastic singing ability and the issues that we should all be praying for and considering.

Being a big Steve Green fan, I was a little disappointed with his last release, "The Letter." Though the songs were moving, all the music sounded the same. I was so happy to get a listen to this CD. This reminds me of the early Steve Green. He opens the album with a terrific song of praise, "To God all Praise and Glory." The Twila Paris penned, "Unto Me" is a challenging song about putting your faith into action. He doesn't disappoint with the ballads on this one. "The River" and "I Repent" call the listener to give yourself away to the Lord. "Safely Home" is a tear jerker that reminds us of lost loved ones and brings peace with the knowledge that they are with the Father.

Steve hit the bull's eye. The songs are contemporary and challenging. It is easy to lose yourself in the message of this CD.

I own all of Steve Green's albums. His singing inspires one to grow in Christ. Steve Green's voice is so smooth and the lyrics so inspired that cannot one help but feel as though he is in the presence of Almighty God. Buy all of Steve Green's albums. Each is a true spiritual experience.

Couple of months ago I attended one of Steve Green's "The Faithful" Concerts I also have this album. Steve Green's Voice is truly moving and full of Christianity. The songs brings to the forefront alot of the troubles in this crazy world we live in, but also gives comfort and love from a caring person. Steve is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, as I did in person in Ft Wayne, Indiana. Definately get this album for your collection. This also was my daughter's 1st concert(she was 6 months old at the time:)

Steve presents a great blend of music in his own distinctive style. The lyrics are both powerful and moving. They address difficult and thought-provoking topics such as martydom, loss of a loved-one, and discerning and following God's plan. Steve brings insight and depth to each of the songs, and delivers each one with his clear, powerful, yet understated delivery. The result is a superb and unique collection of songs whose impact is not diminished after many listenings. Outstanding.

The album opens with the magnificent To God All Praise And Glory, a rousing song with full orchestra and choir. The poignant Unto Me is next, a song that spells out in a practical way what the Christian life is all about. The slow rock ballad The River is followed by the stirring title track with its beautiful imagery of the martyrs under the throne.

Safely Home is a somewhat mournful but ultimately comforting ballad about those who have passed away, whilst The Plan is a catchy and uptempo number about daily living. The Great Revival is an uplifting song with great percussion and soulful gospel-style backing voices.

I Repent and Roses are both tender ballads, the first with only keyboards and percussion whilst the second is an achingly moving song about abortion and what it really means. The album concludes with My Soul Found Rest, another devotional ballad with full orchestral backing.

The Faithful is a comforting and inspiring album of memorable songs. The sound is a very successful integration of rock, orchestral and gospel styles. My favourites include the anthemic All Praise And Glory, the gripping Unto Me, the sad but comforting Safely Home and the song of repentance Roses.

The CD booklet contains all the lyrics, sometimes introduced by scriptural passages and quotes on issues of concern to Christians today, like the persecution of believers and the killing of the unborn.

The FaithfulI cannot offer sufficient accolades for albums produced by this man. Each is an inspiration. Buy then without wondering whether they are worth it. You will ALWAYS find at least one song which moves you to a deeper appreciation for Christian music.

I was told about the Album. Heard a few selections and was glad Amazon had the link to merchant.One of the best album in my Steve Green's collection

This cd is only ok overall,but still worth purchasing because of some of the songs on it like "unto me",The Great Revival",and "The Faithful". The rest of the songs are kindof slow.
