I find that scripture interpretations by Dr. Wiersbe many times, help me in preparation for Sunday School teaching. He often introduces new ideas which I find helpful in understanding the scriptures.

I just received the book a few days ago and of course just started reading it. I am finding it very understandable. Scripture made simple just like the other Be series i have already read. This is a "Thinking" book. It causes you to think about how this applies to your life.

Excellent study. Easy to understand for a group, and relevant to life today. Can never go wrong with Wiersbe's teachings.

was somewhat disappointed in his views concerning divorce and remarriage as being ineligible to hold church office. Wiersbe does NOT support his view from scripture but simply expresses an opinion. I suspect that the model he is observing is one prior to World War 2 when the divorce rate was 1 in 17, the status of women was more of the home and not the workplace. Such negative views simply dishonor our Lord and forbids the church from using the talent that the Lord sends them. Most of the other commentators do not agree with his viewpoints on these issues.
