My 7 year old daughter needed a bible for a bible study program she attends. We ordered this bible for her and upon opening it, she thought it was "cool". As a matter of fact, so did her 11 year old sister. While the true treasure is in the inside, I was glad to see the publishing house make a bible that would be attractive on the outside as well. The color is periwinkle-- the material is like a suede microfiber (soft and durable). The flower flap-closure is so cute. The bible is small enough so that a young girl can handle it without a problem. In fact, it can fit into a purse easily. Our other "study" bibles were too cumbersome for my daughter to handle. Now, she looks forward to reading HER special bible-- I think that is really cool.

Although we liked the content of the faithgirlz bible and the sections written just for tween girls, the actual bible was cheap and flimzy. The flower closure was not going to stand up to the test of a child and the pages inside were incredibly thin. We returned this product for a hard bound faithgirlz bible instead.

When I was 14 I was given an NIV bible for Christmas (with me asking) and when my dad and I went bible shopping we found and bought a hardcover NIV bible. Although this satisfied my liking and use it at home frequently, I found that I wanted a bible to carry around my purse. On my visit to Missionsfest this year, I stumbled upon this bible ... It's a great product and though printing is smaller than usual it is still readable. Now in college, I am able to find the comfort of God and His word whenever I am stuck early on campus waiting for class....
