About the Author

Marianne Macdonald was born in Canada and lived there until the age of twenty, when she went to Oxford to do graduate work. She has lived in England ever since, pursuing an academic career nutil she retired to focus on writing and acting. "Die Once" is the sixth book in her Dido Hoare series.

For mystery fans, it is a delightful romp with old friends through frantic twists and intriguing plot lines that all come together with a satisfying conclusion. Dido and Barnabas manage to get themselves excluded from the British Museum trying to trace the province of a antigue volume purchases from a murdered seller before several individuals resort to violence to obtain the book for their collection. A great read with astute background information on "fake" tomes. Nash Black, author of "Taxes, Stumbling Blocks, and Pitfalls for Authors 2007" and "Qualifying Laps."
