This review is from: Faking It (Dido Hoare Mysteries (Hardcover)) (Hardcover)
For bibliophiles, Marianne Macdonald's "Faking It" featuring antiquarian bookseller Dido Hoare and her father, Professor Barnabas Hoare, is must reading. For mystery fans, it is a delightful romp with old friends through frantic twists and intriguing plot lines that all come together with a satisfying conclusion.
Dido and Barnabas manage to get themselves excluded from the British Museum trying to trace the province of a antigue volume purchases from a murdered seller before several individuals resort to violence to obtain the book for their collection. A great read with astute background information on "fake" tomes. Nash Black, author of "Taxes, Stumbling Blocks, and Pitfalls for Authors 2007" and "Qualifying Laps." |
