Well built ladder.,

This ladder was easy to install. The insulation in the door and the seal around the edge of the door work well to keep the heat in the house and out of the attic. The ladder is solid and sturdy. I especially like that this ladder does not have a string for pulling it down. The included rod works well for unlatching the door and pulling it down. This might be an issue for some who do not want to have to store the separate rod or worry about losing it.

My son and I decided on the FAKRO LWM attic ladder after much research online and from past experiences with other attic ladders. We particularly like the fact that it has a latching door and not the usual "trapdoor" which never closes completely. Since the installation is in a "mother-in-law" cottage , we also liked the rod to close and latch the door instead of a tacky string hanging down. I will have some storage access via this stairs and appreciate the fact that the construction is very sturdy and steady. My son was very pleased with the ease of installation as well. Nothing about it that we did not like --a lot!!
