This is great stuff!!! I have purchased and cooked with T Fal cookware for many years, but this by far excedes all of my expectations! The heat distribution is exceptional, and control is down almost to the degree. Cleanup is a breeze! I can put a mild sear to a piece of meat, simmer Chicken Parmasan, or gently cook tender seafood. Honestly, this is one of the best kitchen investments I've made in years. One word of warning, and it isn't bad, be prepared to cut down dramatically on the setting of your range. I'm finding myself cooking at much lower temps than I have in the past. I love this cookware so much, I won't allow the rest of the family to use it. If you enjoy cooking, and have a touch for it, I highly recommend this as the cookware to have!!!! You will find yourself making dishes you haven't in years. IMHO, true professional grade!!

My husband bought this (just the 10 inch saute pan) specifically because the non-stick coating is supposedly safe for metal utensil use. I rarely use metal utensils, but I don't like having to worry about using the wrong ones. I have used this pan several times a week for the past 3 months, occasionally using a metal spatula, or metal tongs to remove objects from it. After using metal tongs to remove something this week, I noticed during washing that the coating is scratched to the point that I don't want to cook with it, for fear of getting chemicals in my food. I have consulted Tefal's website, and although they claim it won't scratch, scratches to the non-stick coating are not covered by the (limited, lifetime) warranty.
I like the heft of the pan and the grip, but there's no way I'm dropping $50 for another one

I really wanted to keep my JO cookware set. It's so well designed and has terrific heft. Sadly, it's utter and complete dung. Right out of the box, there was a dinged lid (hmmmm, how durable is this stuff?) During it's maiden voyage on the stove, deep scratches were instantly made in the saute pan bottom (as I moved it back and forth over the electric element.) I owned an econo Farberware set for nearly a decade and didn't have the scratching this set incurred in only a few minutes of use...canned baked beans in the 2.5 qt. pan left a blue-ish gray stain inside the pan, salt in boiling water pitted the inside of the 5 qt. dutch oven, even when I hand washed and dried the cookware, something I feel is borderline babying your cookware, water spots bloomed out of nowhere and remained visible. Professional grade stainless steel -- I think not. This is classic tell-tale signs of inferior metallurgy. I come from a restaurant family we've used every type of pan out there and I know how to cook. It's a darn shame as the set is awful pretty but a horror show to use. It's not surprising to me that another reviewer said she wouldn't let the family use it -- let's be honest, it's because it's incredibly tempramental, easily damaged and it's no wonder when I returned my set, I found the rest of the boxes sittingon the 75% off table. Hmmmm, coincidence? I think not.

This T Fal set was beautiful when it arrived. It was well-made, solid and heavy. Size was perfect for what I wanted and very thoughtful selection of pots and pans. It deserved Jamie's approval.

Then I started to use it. Sadly, scratches started developing in the pot and pans. Now, it is in sad shape. Things stick a lot. I still use it but scratches in the pot and sticking pan really makes it hard to use.

It is a bit sad that clearly thought out set of finely crafted pots and pans has serious flaw of pots scratching too easy and pans sticking.

I am so upset at T Fal for messing this up. It seems to be obviously their fault in selecting bad non-stick scratch proof coating. It is a shame to shame Jamie like that. I am offended.

jamie oliver has done it again.... but i have to tell you.... you have to be dumb to think that you can use metel on non stick.... and on metel you have to use lower heat so it deos not burn. jamie has done it again
