That one star review bugged me so much that i had to write my own. Rating a product one star only because there's another, more popular product is not right. To not take the product's actual quality into consideration is absurd.

The truth is that this is an excellent heli. I've owned two of them and plan on purchasing more in the future. The flight control is excellent. In my opinion they fly even better than the beloved Syma S107s (of which i've owned about 5 (i use them to battle)). It's very responsive and the forward motion is quicker than the S107. You also have shoulder buttons that control the LED lights on both sides of the heli. This isn't huge, but it does add an extra function (very fun to fly in a dark room and play with the lights, my kid loved it).

The only downside to this model is that it doesn't seem to be as durable as other helis. Granted, they were the first R/C helis i flew, so it could have just been an excess of crashes.

The price is very decent too. Unless you crash it on purpose, you're going to get a few months of use out of it before it starts breaking down (which it will inevitably eventually do). You can get a USB charger on eBay for a few bucks, so that cuts down on battery costs.

Two big issues with this: 1. Not durable, you will crash while learning to fly and rotors, flyweights, will bend or break. 2) After a brief time (1-2 days worth of use) the copter's internal battery will no longer accept a deep charge sufficient to power the thing off the ground.

So another toy that is truly a throwaway, lasted less than 3 days and result was a sad little boy (blaming his dad)

All and all I think this is a great little helicopter the batter does not last 7 to 10min like the add says. I timed the flight of my helicopter to be around 5min max and that is constant flight. Overall this heli is a lot of fun I would recomend it to anyone.

My husband wanted an indoor heli so he could "play with the kids", so I purchased this one as a gift for him. He loves it and the kids love watching him (they're under 4). He said it flies easily and it has even taken a couple crashes from him. We bought another for our nephew who is about 9 years old. We think he'll have a ball. Just wish the flight time was a little longer, bot over all a nice product, especially for the price!

I bought the Falcon X after I bought 2 of the Syma S107's, they are all fun !, However, the Falcon X is too heavy, it is much harder to control than my Syma 107's

The Falcon X is made of the same quality metal frame the Syma's are, but again , they didn't get the weight right for it to be as stable as the Syma's.

The cool lights are so neat, it's ashame it doesn't fly better!

Some say "NEW" ~ but don't have Gyroscope technology, so read the description carefully.

Syma S107 or Falcon X both have "GYROSCOPE TECHNOLOGY"~ a MUST for enjoyment of this type of toy.(((if it doesn't have Gyro skip it)))

But if you want the most bang for buck, pick the Syma S107 Gyro's, They can't be beat , I now have them in all 3 colors, yellow, red and blue!

Cool looking heli. Unfortunately the one I received had a (so-far) uncorrectable gyroscopic wobble, which prevents it from hovering in place. I've tried making a number of adjustments, but this thing just keeps wobbling.

The controls are also a bit touchy [as compared to a Syma S-107]. That could be a good thing if you want your heli to take off like a bat out of hell when you hit the forward throttle. It really sends this thing off but also increases altitude, so if you are flying indoors it makes it tricky not to hit the ceiling. Throttle backwards and it sends the heli lower, so you have to compensate with the the up/down throttle so it doesn't hit the dirt. Takes a deft touch to keep this thing from crashing.

Word of caution: the tail rotor is pretty much built to break on impact. Went through two of them in the first hour. Had to retrofit a rear rotor from a S-107 but because the blades are pitched oppositely, the forward/backward throttle is reversed now. For a tough looking heli, this was a disappointment. I really wish they would have made this part out of metal or a stronger pastic.

Nevertheless it continues to fly and hold a charge well. Compared to the Syma, this model's flight just doesn't seem as steady or controllable. But it's cool looking and still a fun little toy. Just cover up your flat screen before flying it in the living room or it will probably end up with battle scars.

I have multiple 3 channel helicopters as well as larger 4 channel outdoor models. as far as quality I have not experienced any broken parts or cracked blades after a dozen or so flights. The frame seams very durable and im still on the original set of blades. I must admit that the battery is horrible. I only get about 4 min of fly time with a full battery. not to mention when you try to fly forward or backwards the tail rotor pushes the helicopter down quickly unless you go full throttle on the vertical control. then when you stop moving forward it shoots upwards, making it very difficult to fly indoors and its useless outdoors. I does hover in place and rotate right and left beautifully. But that gets old fast. One nice feature is the ability to turn off the led's get an extra 10 seconds of flight.......
