Great, Great,Great Read,
This review is from: Fall from Grace (Paperback)
I loved the book. I preordered mines and just couldn't what for the sequel, I even read the first book again just to get the fill for it and refresh me for this one. When I first got it, I was like (wow) this book is thicker than the other one, but like the other lady said, once you start you can't put it down. I loved it, the direction of this book was not only focused on Grace but all so on Trina, so you will see more in dept who the characters are and get to know each of them better. Trust me I could go on and on about the book but I might tell the whole story (like my sister would say) so definitely pick it up and become involved in the lifes of Grace/Mike and Trina/others and you won't be disappointed.

This was another great book by this author. For those of you who have been anxiously awaiting the sequel to Saving Grace, you will not be disappointed. The book is thick, but once you dive into it you will hate to see the end coming. Kudos to you Ryan for another great read.

After loving Saving Grace SO MUCH, I read After the Fall, and felt disappointment. I was happy to see that there was a sequel to SG and believe me, she does not disappoint!!! In FfG, we find all of the main characters back again. Mike and Grace get married, Grace and Trina face troubles in their friendship, Mike and Grace have a trying first few months, etc. This story was quite a ride.
It has been a long while since I have read books by authors who write for characters. It's insulting when the characters change to fit the plot twist. Nope, not here. Ms Phillips knows her characters and never has them acting in ways in which the reader says "Grace would never do that." I truly loved this book, and was sooooo upset when I finished it. THIS is the type of Christian fiction that needs to be out there. Readable stories about saints who face real struggles. Everything part of this book was so real. Each character seemed real and had palpable emotions. This book had it all: scenes to make you smile, laugh, drop your jaw in shock...loved it. I cannot wait for the next one! BRAVA!!

Bible Says To Cleave To Your Spouse,
This review is from: Fall from Grace (Paperback)
"Fall From Grace" picked up where "Saving Grace" ended. The story flowed well like the presequel with the characters, Grace, Mike,Trina, and few other new characters. Ryan Phillips is a great story teller, great writer, and does a good job editing her books. The story held my interest, although, author could get a little long winded; nevertheless, it's still a good read. I didn't quite understand Mike's demeanor when he found out about Grace's secret. Especially, since he was such a devout christian. The bible says to cleave to your spouse and Mike didn't do what he was preaching. Also, Grace incident at the ending didn't make much sense. Overall, I enjoyed the book and I highly recommend it.Overall rating: 5.0

THIS WAS AN AMAZING STORY GRACE AND TRINA ARE TRULY BEST FRIENDS, EVEN THOUGH TRINA SHOWED A LOT OF JEALOUSLY DURING AND AFTER GRACE MARRIAGE TO MIKE, BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO BE MARRIED ALSO, BUT SHE DIDN'T WANT TO ADMIT THAT DARIUS WAS TELLING HER THE TRUTH. THE ON AND OFF UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP SHE HAD WITH DARIUS,THE PLOT SHE LET HER BOSS QUINN,AND KENDRA TALK HER INTO DOING AND HER FAST LIFE STYLE JUST TO FIT IN SHOWED IMMATURITY ON HER PART, BUT SHE MADE HER MISTAKE RIGHT BY TURNING THE FILE OVER TO THE DETECTIVE.WHEN GRACE FOUND OUT SHE WAS PREGNANT SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD MIKE WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THINGS COME OUT BETTER, BUT HE WAS VERY HARD ON HER, BY NOT COMING BACK HOME EVEN THO HE WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A STRONG FAITH, HE TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT HOW MANY TIMES YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO FORGIVE. HE ALSO COMPLETELY FORGOT TO TELL GRACE WHAT HAPPEN BETWEEN HIM AND TAMMY AT THE HOTEL.THE END OF THE BOOK WAS WONDERFUL FOR GRACE AND MIKE, BUT IT LEFT US HANGING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS IN THE BOOK. I WISH RYAN PHILLPS WOULD MAKE THIS INTO A SERIES. I HAVE READ HER OTHER TWO BOOKS AND SHE IS A BRILLANT YOUNG WRITER AND HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD OF HER.I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING HER NEXT BOOK.

Wanting for More,

Fall from Grace gives a further look into the lives of bffs Grace and Trina. Picking up where the Saving Grace left off, Fall from Grace starts off with the wedding of Michael and Grace. It further shows the strain between Grace and Trina as well as their relationship with God and everything in between. A lot can be taken from this into everyday walks of life. This story has so much going on that I do not want to spoil it for anyone. It is a lot that takes place with Trina, Mike, Grace, and Anthony (Grace's estranged father). Faced with stress and the decisions that the characters make, leaves those believers to give thanks and praise for God's unconditional and everlasting mercy. Recommending for anyone.

EXCELLENT!,
This review is from: Fall from Grace (Paperback)
This is an excellent book! I kept running into it in various stores over the last year or so, but was never compelled to pick it up. I have no idea what took me so long to check it out! Now I have to read book one (Saving Grace). Not having read the first book, I can say that Fall from Grace can easily stand alone. I didn't feel lost or anything like that because I started out with the sequel. (Not that I'm suggesting for people to read the sequel first, only that I think it can be done without too much harm.)
What can I say, Ms. Phillips told a beautiful and inspiring story. I hope she writes many more in the years to come.
