Rent from the library - don't purchase,

This review is from: Fall Leaves (Scholastic Reader Level 1) (Paperback)
I bought this book for my daughter who is in 2nd grade and LOVES leaves and the fall season. I found the writing to be way too easy for her (my be appropriate for a VERY early reader) and there was nothing too terribly special about the illustrations. I was looking for something that would spark her interest in reading and in leaves. I didn't find it here... worth checking out from the library and then returning it to the shelf rather than purchasing. That said, it isn't very expensive so it's not too upsetting that it was a flop of a read. Overall: Don't purchase this book... a better option: Why Do Leaves Change Color? By Betsy Maestro.
