About the Author
Gail Davies and Fran Scully have over 20 years experience as physical therapists. They were motivated to write this book after treating many patients with fall related injuries. They also provide education to caregivers and community groups on home modifications and strategies to prevent falls.

This book is definitely a winner. Having spent a lot of time working with an older population, I'm always searching for a manual that clients will actually enjoy reading on their own. Oftentimes, coverage of this material is dry at best, which is unfortunate, because it is such an important topic. However, the team of Davies and Scully seem to write with the reader in mind--there are cute illustrations, it's easy to navigate, and the reader really learns a lot of simple exercises and techniques. I would definitely recommend it as a must read for anyone who has ever felt concerned for theirs--or a loved ones--balance, etc.
