5.0 out of 5 stars amazing
The first album so far I've heard from these guys. While knowing first hand from doom-metal.com they changed from doom metal to heavy rock or gothic metal, which ever you prefer I picked this cause I got a good deal on it. I love doom alot but next to that I'm really getting into heavy rock and this album really is what I've been looking for. It's a depressing and...

i loved lacrimas' previous forays into doom metal. They had a beautiful way of decribing melancholy through music. This album has none of that. its pop-ish almost, no saddened hooks, they did an adorertwo, which is just pointless and harsh. harsh is in, wow, they made that piece of ****. anyways, the quality lacks, not the same style. the only song i found decent was the...

It's a depressing and desolate journey and is extremly powerful in the content of the vauge and bleak words. Heavy emotion laced guitars and melacholic keyboards then quieter, saddend parts headed by weeping cold vocals. I'm blown away at the terrific production of this album that really fit well with this type of music. I've been playing this cd nonstop it seems and very eager to hear thier other albums. Fall, I will Follow is brilliant!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good album..., March 27, 2004

Not perfect... but it's pretty good "goth rock" -- there are no raspy or death vocals found here. I guess if you wanted to compared it to something it would be like Charon / Poisonblack / Sentenced but with more of an edge to the sound of the music.

Though I do like "Burning, A Wish" a bit more, this album has it's good qualities. "Sear Me Pale Sun" is my current favorite at the moment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the bucks, August 13, 2008
This review is from: Fall I Will Follow (Audio CD)
I was skeptical when I read the other negative reviews but made up my mind and purchased this album anyway and I really am glad I did because it is one more grand piece in Lacrimas Collection. My favorite tracks are:
Sear Me Pale Sun
The Nothingship
Fornever(the ultimatum)

1.0 out of 5 stars That damn bad, June 15, 2005
This review is from: Fall I Will Follow (Audio CD)
Its not often I write one star reviews. For me to do so means something is so absolutely terrible it must be spoken of. The subject of such reviews is usually reserved for the latest Limp Bizkit cd or other nu-metal atrocities plaguing the genre. Unfortunately, this cd may eclipse even the most terrible nu-metal garbage, which is a tradgedy because before this Lacrimas Profundere was one of the best Doom metal outfits to ever exist.

The biggest flaw of Fall, I Will Follow is it just doesn't seem natural. Everything is forced and contrived, completely devoid of the passion which saturated their earlier releases. I hate to use this cliched and usually completly irrelevant phrase, but Lacrimas Profundere sold out. Its obvious from the booklet, to the album art, to the music itself that all Lacrimas Profundere are trying to do is become a H.I.M. clone. In that sense they succeed. Whiny warbles passing off as vocals, a rage inducing abundance of teenage angst, half-assed riffs...Congratulations Lacrimas Profundere! Maybe someday suicidal 12 year old girls will worship you too. I don't know what else to say other than if your a fan of Doom metal to avoid this release like the plague. Every Lacrimas Profundere album before this is a masterpiece, but trust me and consider yourself blessed if you never hear this or any other post Burning: A Wish Lacrimas Profundere record.
