Fallen (Descendants Saga) is pretty much a story about a boy name Brody West discovering who he truly is. This beautifully told story is full of action, has all kinds of mythical creatures, beautifully described scenery, and enough thrills to keep you glued to your Kindle or book. I could try and give you a description of this book, but there are so many events that I don't even know where to start or end.

Instead, I will just let you know there are plenty of angels, werewolves, vampires, elves, and yes even zombies. This author has successfully crafted these elements together making an exciting story, and it all fits together well. This story drew me in with its details, its connections to real sites and certain civilizations. At times I was at awe at the daunting premise of this book. It is simply amazing.

Overall, the writing is superb. The sentences flowed well. It does go back and forth between first and third person, but there is a reason why. Also, as a note there is no cursing. So, if you buy the book, keep all of these aspects in mind.

Thank you James Somers for such an exciting read!

I will admit the reason I purchased Fallen initially was because it was free. I had never heard of James Somers but after reading the synopsis , it seemed pretty interesting. I am the type reader, that the book has to grasp me from the beginning or I wont want to continue reading, so im always on the look out for this to happen. Well, I didn't have to look very hard because almost immediately I was connected to the main Character Oliver. Somers has given him enough depth in the very first chapter that it makes you want to know more! It makes us feel bad for his situation enough to continue, and once your a few chapters in, he leaves us intrigued enough not want to put this book down! It takes a simple boy just trying to make it , and turns him into something brilliant and powerful! Before I was even done with this book, I purchased the second book in this series because I KNEW I would want to know more when this one was finished! I am currently reading other books by Somers, and I am finding that book just as intriguing. He takes hold of you and doesn't let you go until the end! If your looking for a pager turner, with characters that you can connect with and get attached too, Fallen Is definitely a book for you! I would suggest this book to anyone looking for a good read that takes them on an adventure!

A well written fantasy for the entire family to read. It is a relief to find writing without the trashy degeneration often found in fantasy. All in all a great riveting read.

Fallen is the first book in the series and follows young Brody west a descendant of a fallen Angel as he tries to save the world from the evils that would undo us all. A bit primitive in style but a good story makes you want to find out what happens next.

Based loosely upon scripture and incorporating unnatural beings such as angels, fallen angels, vampires, werewolves and other created beings, Somers creates a story of London at risk of falling.

If you enjoy fantasy, battles and good verses evil, you will enjoy this story told from the vantage of Brody West, a young man who find himself stranded in London an befriended by angels and others. I'm looking forward to reading Book 2 of the Descendants Trilogy.

Great story little heavy on the religious side but hey he's a pastor of a church, what's to be expected.

A badly written horror book wanting to be scary but just ... isn't. I will not be reading anything else by this author who isn't a very good writer and whose theology apparently includes the complete absence of God but the very disturbing presence of evil beings.
