Many, many people hate Team Knight Rider. For its very human cars, for its not-always-great special effects, for its lack of Michael Knights and KITTs...
I understand that completely. TKR never had that special quality that made its parent show, Knight Rider, so successful.

However, TKR isn't quite the failure many people think it must be. Here's why:
1. The characters are memorable. At first they were all a bit stereotypical and flat, but later episodes developed their personalities more. And I slowly found that I greatly enjoyed the cars' personalities. Snobby Dante and agressive Attack Beast were especially likeable.
2. The stories were pretty good at times. "The Blonde Woman", "K.R.O.", "Angels In Chains", and "Legion of Doom" are episodes I especially enjoyed. "Legion of Doom" was a bit sad since the series ended before the story could be ended, but it was still an intriguing episode.
3. It had good music. Have you heard the TKR theme? Well you should. It's made me forget most of my complaints about the show, and is much easier to hum than the original KR theme.
4. It's funny. Well, maybe not the somewhat dated pop culture references, but the characters have a tendency to make amusing smart remarks.
5. And when humans fight each other, they look like they might actually be fighting. Certainly the scenes are more convincing than most KR human fight scenes.

To summarize: No, it's not a brilliant show. But if you're bored and want to see something with lots of talking cars and a (mostly) decent plot, you might want to give this show a try. I know I liked it, and maybe you will too.

This one-season series from 1998 was a follow-up to the original 82-86 Knight Rider. It did not have any of the original characters, other than a fleeting back-of-the-head cameo by "Michael Knight" (not played by David Hasselhoff).

Instead of one man making a difference, this is 5 young and attractive folks attempting to make a difference. Each has their own vehicle, from pickup truck, the convertible, to motorbike, to weird-hybrid-pod-thing. Each vehicle has it's own distinct personality to match its driver.

All that being said, this show is 'eh' overall. They failed to capture both the 'shadowy flight' feel of the original series as well as it's brand of humor. Also, the interactivity between the vehicles and their drivers is shallow and very underdeveloped.

There are some cool moments though for original Knight Rider fans, such as a KARR-type vehicle the team must deal with. Overall though it's pretty average action-adventure show with talking cars and hansom stars.

Is it worth buying all these episodes? Depends on your level of avid Knight Rider fandom. Big fans will want this just because it's Knight Rider, and because of the few references to the original series that will give them smiles. Casual fans can probably take-or-leave this show. The General Audience would be fine skipping it entirely.

If you are thinking about buying this via download, be aware that for the entire series price of $44, you could buy the DVDs which would be much better quality... if they're ever released. At present there is no release date for DVDs of Team Knight Rider. If you can wait, I'd recommend doing so, but if you gotta have instant gratifcation (such as myself), you may as well cough up the dough and download these episodes.

This is NOT as good as the 2008 Knight Rider TV movie that was aired in Feb 2008. If you hated that, you will probably not be a big TKR fan.

I'm probably going to be the only 5-star rating here. I love this series, os hard I own props and production items from it. Nothing will ever kill that love. Some will find it too cartoony, or too strange. And that's okay. it was VERY MUCH a 90's primetime action series. And it shows.

This show has its merits, but the title says it all. Take the corniness of the Power Rangers and mix it with the Knight Rider idea, and that pretty much sums this show up. I think it was also meant for a younger audience. It has a tween feel about it, but adults can appreciate it too as long as they don't take it too seriously.

KITT isn't in this show, by the way. This show deals with the young people who the torch has been passed down to. There is now a team, and there is also a team of AI vehicles, all with their own personalities. No surprise here, it is the vehicles that steal the show.

The plot line was developed enough, though as I've said--it is geared for the teen audience--and held together. It isn't my favorite of the Knight Rider sequels, but it isn't terrible. I do like the cars.
