5.0 out of 5 stars Whitebrook Jockey!
I've started a Super Edition about Cindy and why she went to New York! I have that whole plot down and everything! I'm 16 and have won several literary awards for my poems and short storys since I was young! I've been writing since I was young and could read by the time I was two! I've been a TB fan since I was seven and know everything, including that it was Cindy's...

2.0 out of 5 stars This is an OK book
Hi. Ok here's what I have to say about this book. * It seems like the authors are trying to rush through every book. * In the late 20's early 30's sections of the series they spent about 7 books on ONE summer. Now 1 book covers at least 6 months to a year, if not more! * Ever since Christina met Parker Dylan was completely gone. They never mentioned his name since the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Whitebrook Jockey!, December 14, 2000
I've started a Super Edition about Cindy and why she went to New York! I have that whole plot down and everything! I'm 16 and have won several literary awards for my poems and short storys since I was young! I've been writing since I was young and could read by the time I was two! I've been a TB fan since I was seven and know everything, including that it was Cindy's Honor, not Ashliegh's Christmas Miracle when Ash fell pregnant again. If you want Whitebrook Jockey to happen and if you want me to go to Harper Collins vote yes! It's now or never! Cindy McLean has been given the offer of her life from a well known New York trainer. It would mean riding and working with a colt called Black Tempest, a powerful, but unproven horse. It would mean getting her full licence and even more fame after her Dubai win. It would mean leaving Whitebrook and all her beloved horses behind. Is Cindy about to make the biggest mistake of her life,or will she show them all? Let me get this book to the press people! Thoroughbred should be written by an expert, not some writer who's only in it for the money! VOTE FOR WHITEBROOK JOCKEY BY CLICKING YES!

5.0 out of 5 stars Long Forgotten, November 22, 2000
By
Amy (Little Britian, Ontairo, Canada) - See all my reviews
I have to agree with Hannah. Tb books are my absolute favorite books in the world and I'll read them until i die (or go blind) But they just aren't the same any more.Although they are getting better. Because there were super editions on Ashliegh and Samantha. Now that Cindy's back I think they should come out with a super editon on her. Having something happen and her recounting what she did in the years after book 23 untill now. Like a summery. And i really hate the fact that Alot of "main" horses just get forgotten about. Let me name a few... What ever happended to Pride, Glory, Pirate (i thought he was miserable without mel but she's never home!) Cris' pony trib, shining and all her foals, Champion, priness, Mr. wonderful, Honor, Precisous,Limitless, Fleetgodess, Just to name a few. These horses all had big roles in the story then all of sudden puff there gone I think i speek for most of us when i say they are greatly missed! And yes why did sam and tor moved to ireland then come back? What evr happened to katie and dylan? How come Mona never metioned. And I'm curious to know what ever happened to sweet little Mandy? No matter what changes the TB series goes thourgh I will always collect and read them forever!

I totally agree with Shining14 (Mickey).....Thoroughbred books ARE addictive! I am 15, and reading books meant for girls ages 9-12, yet I read them anyways. Half of the readers are over 12! For all of those people just starting to read Thoroughbred, let me tell you one thing; DON'T let someone tell you to stop reading them! My parents say that they are bellow my reading level, but if you mix some "adult" horse books and "childish" horse books together, you get the perfect reading level! Thoroughbred is a wonderfully written series, and they have seemed to just get better and better! The characters seem so real! And most of all, have fun reading, because books help you get through life! And horseback riding here and there helps, too!

They never mentioned his name since the book where christina met parker. * I loved the books where Joanna wrote them because she put a lot of feeling into them & they were much longer stories. * I could not believe that Christina would just DROP eventing completely to start racing. I mean in all the other books where she's an eventer it talks about how she is so into it and it's her life and she'd never give it up. WHATEVER! Another thing: She sold Sterling. Oh my gosh. What's wrong with this picture? She supposedly loved sterling a incredible amount and they had a 'really special bond' between them. Yah, sure was special. At least she sold her to Sam. * Sam: Why in the world did she suddenly move to Ireland with Tor within the 11 years with absolutely NO information? I hated hated hated hated the way they skipped 11 years without even publishing a book with all the things that happened. At just just simple short stories about what led everyone to do everything. When horses were born, when they hired new workers and trainers. * Ashley was supposed to have another child in the super edition book " Ashleigh's Christmas Miracle" it said she said she was pregnant again.. Uh... what happened to that. Did someone forget?

Thanks for reading.

Sincerely, Hannah

5.0 out of 5 stars WARNNG!, September 28, 2000
Considering these books don't have a warning label, I should write one myself! The Thoroughbred series is highly addictive! You can't read just one of these books and hope to feel satisfied! Trust me! Your life will never be complete if you are an addicted fan with out the lastest book. :) And never mind age. I'm 16 and still a faithful reader of them! I don't know what it is what grabs me most though. It could be the likeable characters or the human-like horses. Maybe it's the plot, with high-speed racing and dangerous choices made by the characters. Or it could just be because it's the best darn series out there for horse crazy kids! Whatever you choose, just read them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Why was cindy so snobby?, January 2, 2001
A Kid's Review
This was one great book. I can't believe how snobby Cindy was though. I mean jeez. I feel sorry for Christina and for Star. I also can't believe how Lavinia treated Parker. I mean who would say "no no you touched the horse your filthy" to thier own son? That is just plain rude! If anyone agrees with me please email me. BrandiP15@excite.com, or racinggirl2007@hotmail.com(or you can email me for fun I don't really care)

well thanks for reading my review. Oh and if you haven't read the book I hope you enjoy it when you do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, July 15, 2002
A Kid's Review
I think this book was really good! I can't belive brad sold his half of star thats Wonders last foal! I guess the writers are trying to make all the readers hate Liviana but couldn't she be a little kinder? She is always so hard core mean brad looks like the kindest person in the world next to her! And why did they give the cheak for star to Dunkirk? Its so obvious somthing will happen and Chris won't own Star! Parker is my favorite guy in this whole seris! Though at times hes strange. Like in some books you can tell hes a townsed but in others hes relly nice speaking of Parker DON'T YOU PEOPLE GET IT!I hear alot of people say wasn't parkers name Ross? Yah in Ashlieghs Christmas Mircale!
But haven't you noticed Parker is completely different form Ross!
Not to mention that Ross was Chrises enemy and Parker and Chris are going out! by the way if anyone reads this and knows what number Ashliegh is pregnant in write a review and tell me!
*Hannah* ;)
PS on the cover Chris looks really deppresed and stars ears are up and he looks alert when my horse is in pain he most deffinatly dosen't look like that!

4.0 out of 5 stars Here's the deal...., December 18, 2000
I love the TB series. I will never EVER give it up. I agree that the authors have to get with the program. There are WAAAAAYYYY too many loose ends now. I agree with all the reviews about that. There is one review that I have to correct something about though. When we were introduced to Cindy, that was the exact point that Joanna Campbell stopped having so much to do with the series and other authors started writing. Joanna didn't write the books on Cindy. In this book, Cindy is a major brat, but she finally gets an attitude adjustment. I was like, sheesh she's even worse than before, but then I figured, oh well it's just Cindy. Christina's longtime dream was to jump. Ashleigh wanted her to race. Ashleigh finally gave in to Chris's dream, and now Christina has decided to give in to Ashleigh's dream. I found that a little odd, but at least Christina is trying. One thing that really irritates me is when the authors mix up the physical descriptions of the characters. That bugs me so much! Anyway, the series is good, but not as good as the original first books. There should be a reunion book, maybe that will tie up ALL the loose ends. It could be each past and present character telling his/her story. That would be cool (I suggested it to Joanna Campbell in the past and she liked it). TB series, though it's had some serious issues, will remain a fave of mine.

Anyone can email me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Image, October 20, 2000
By A Customer
yes whoever did say the next TB book was perfect image is right. this is what i found on another web page but in my own words(harper collins)

Will Melanie save Image?

Image is wild, maybe too wild to train for racing. But she's fast, and Melanie wants dearly to be her jockey. If only Image's owner and trainer would let her work with the high strung filly. but you all no brad townsend he wants to add her to his breeding stock. Mel is positive that Image's talent would be wasted as a broodmare, the filly's bred to race and win. melanie's sure she could get image to run with the right rider. Will Melanie prove that Image can race before it's too late?

i have not read Fallen Star yet but i think all you TB fans like to know what the next book is so i put this on here. you can find more info on the Harper Collins Site. Also Heartland, saddle club and pine hollow are good books too.
