5.0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! June 1, 2013

As a huge fan of the first two Quells (Quell and Quell Reflect), I have been on the edge of my seat for 6 months, waiting for Memnto.. It was 6 months of disappointment and postponements. But, oww that it's here (a day early and a dollar cheaper), it was totally worth it!!!
The basics are the same. But, the colors are better, the music is even better, the voice of the old man is new, but great and fits in perfectly. There are more hidden levels and ontop of trying to get perfect scores, there are also hidden gems and time pieces to find. I do not think that there is a single app/game anywhere-ever that can & will compete with the Quell trilogy...and now that Momento has raised the bar, there will probably never be. Unfortunately there are only 5 stars, but it deserves far more! Get will NOT regret it!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game perfectly fits the series December 27, 2013

If you haven't played Quell or Quell Reflect, the object of the series is to move a drop around a board to "roll" over objects. In this case, you are trying to touch pearls. This version adds a "hidden pearl" element. As you go around the board, your droplet may touch wall pieces that hide pearls. The basic game is challenging but I like the added fun of searching for these hidden gems.

There are options to purchase coins in order to unlock levels, but that is really not necessary as you can unlock them by completing earlier levels.

I turned off Wi-Fi and, as expected, I was unable to log in to the Amazon Game Circle in order to share my scores, but the game itself still was able to play. So it appears a Wi-Fi connection is not required to play the game.

I really enjoy this series, for both the challenging puzzles and the Zen-like quality of the overall atmosphere. I highly recommend this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving it! May 31, 2013

Music is very similar to the others which is great! The layout on how to get in the levels is very different but in a good way. I much prefer this way. Nine rooms to go into, four compartments inside of those and the compartments contain four puzzles each not including hidden levels.

(There are 24 hidden levels containing time pieces. Look for the bronze loop holes for these levels. These time pieces or levels must be found much in the same way as the hidden jewels, by cracking stones. Speaking of which, there are 145 jewels to find.)

I like the idea of how each room is unique and the different modes specific to the room name as I have found so far. Early in the game and already I have found myself stuck. Perhaps that is because of the new modes. This actually lives up to its name!

Collect the drops in room one, turn tiles to blue in room two, room three you break the ice and so forth. Not sure what is coming up yet.

Cutscenes are good as well as they tell of the story of the man whose memories are mostly gone. Some puzzles also include a picture within them. Must dust it off as they also tell the story to be followed.

The narrative is very good so far as well and looking forward to what's in store in Memento. Worth the extra buck.

3.0 out of 5 stars Crashed the phone the first time I ran it June 24, 2013
Verified Purchase
I have both previous Quell games and absolutely love them, so I was very excited to see that Quell Memento was available. I purchased and installed it on my Nexus S 4G. It opened and ran, I was able to play for a little bit, and then my phone crashed. I could not exit the program, the screen was unresponsive, and the music kept playing. The only way out was to do a hard reboot and remove the battery. The other Quell games run fine on my phone, with no issues. I'm disappointed that I paid money for this and it is unusable.

Big fan of the previous game-quell reflect-and have been holding my breath waiting for this one. It's SO worth the wait. They've really done a great job here adding new features and new objectives, while keeping that laid-back, relaxing feel.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great follow-up to Quell and Quell Reflect December 25, 2013
Verified Purchase
First, "Quell Memento" is basically a follow-up game to "Quell" and "Quell Reflect." If you enjoyed those games - I loved them - then you'll enjoy Quell Memento. It's the same concept, a relaxing but increasingly challenging game of guiding a raindrop around a maze-like playing field while collecting pearls and avoiding hazards that can destroy your raindrop. Levels get steadily more difficult, but each new feature is described, so the game is in effect a long, continuing tutorial. There's no time limit, but you do get credit for winning each level in the fewest possible moves. The music soundtrack is pleasant and calming, although after a while, I often turn the sound off.

There are a lot of new twists in Quell Memento. Also, the game has in-app purchases, including an option to buy a "Jewel Detector," which enables you to see any jewels, secret portals, and time pieces without spending any of the free game coins you earn by winning each level in the fewest possible moves.

Quell Memento is a must-have app for fans of Quell and Quell Reflect.

4.0 out of 5 stars More patience than logic!
Interesting, challenging and I think logical but as yet have not been able to 'nut' out the logic or objective come to that! Still recommend it cause it's fun.
