Falling for the Boss by Elizabeth Harbison
Silhouette Special Edition # 1747 - April 2006
Family Business - Book # 4

Evan has returned to Chicago after 12 years away, only because the family has demanded his presence for the reading of his father's will. Much to everyone's shock, except for his, Evan's name is not mentioned at all. His stepmother stops him from leaving and pleads with him to help her and the family gets Hanson Media back on track. Evan having nothing to lose, agrees. Evan left 12 years before because he didn't want any part in his father's manipulations, esp. when they involved the girl he loved and her family. Leaving had seemed the only way to not betray any of them. Meredith has always wondered why Evan disappeared, and now taking the job in the PR Dept. that Helen has recruited her for, puts her in daily contact with Evan. Their reunion is jeopardized when Evan discovers Meredith has deceptions of her own.

This was an okay read. The best parts of this book were more about Hanson Media, Helen and the Meredith duplicity. I liked Evan's character very much, but he lacked development. Meredith's character was kind of flat. I did enjoy this read, though mostly because of it's place in the series.
