This is a very honest account. There was no attempt on the author's part to make himself look good. He is very honest about his failures and shortcomings. He is no superman, but a man who learned to trust God in all things and endure all things. Mickey has certainly had a lot of challenges in his life, yet he endured and moved forward. This is an amazing story. His account of his beyond and back experience gives some very important evidence of the spiritual dimension. The picture of his going toward the light, but the darkness catching up to him and almost capturing him eternally was quite a revelation of how his past almost caught up to him and kept him from God's presence. Mickey's description of his Catholic upbringing was also enlightening to those not brought up Catholic.

I first met Mickey back in the late 1970's in Ashland, Ohio. We had weekly Bible studies at each other's houses for a couple of years, so I do know Mickey personally, although we have only seen each other a few times since Mickey moved south and went into full time ministry. His story over the years has been consistent since I first heard his story out of his own mouth. It is not embellished. I think his description of the spiritual world is very enlightening, especially how he describes how much more real it is than the world we live in. Mickey would point to a chair and say that in our minds and experience that chair is very real. You can sit in it and touch it. But compared to the spiritual dimension, that chair is like a shadow and of little substance. The spiritual dimension that we don't see with our five senses is true reality.

This book is a good read for anyone. I highly recommend it.

Upon reviewing this book a little closer, I realized that I had heard of this story before, but it was worth reading again. The story is told in such a matter-of-fact manner that it is easy to mistake the incredible miracles that took place in Mickey Robinson's life. Short story: man tries to fill his life with speed and crazy dangerous stunts; has plane crash, is burned badly, God visits him in his agony and provides remarkable healing and turns him to a life of inspirational testimony to God's mercy and goodness. I felt that the writer failed to convey how amazing it is to find oneself in God's presence; Creator of the Universe; Savior! That is awesome, rare, miraculous! Don't downplay it! Mr. Robinson must be in his 60's or 70's by now, and I trust his grandchildren are now sharing his remarkable witness to God's grace and mercy. Don't ignore this book just because of the understated writing; it tells a mighty tale!

I saw Mickey Robinson speak and found him very inspiring. He is a man of remarkable courage and faith.
I ordered his book for a more in depth understanding of his Christian walk but found it to be more of an accounting of his growing up days and wild ways. Had he devoted a few chapters to this subject it would be in keeping with how he got to where he is in his Christian life. But, unfortunately, I found most of the book a narrative of his everyday life and skydiving which is really not what I anticipated.

He does end up quickly with a narrative of his children and wife and his conversion but these areas are quickly written and poorly developed.

I read Falling from Heaven a couple years back and still carry with me some of the valuable lessons Micky came through. This book is a great story, funny at times yet has a unforgettable message about listening to God and living a life in faith. I would recommend this book to others.

I loved reading about, and also seeing the actual individual on TV! His story is one I can share with all my friends and acquaintances and one I can definitely identify with myself.
The product arrived as advertised, well wrapped and on time! I am never disappointed with Amazon customers/sellers

I respect Mr. Robinson. The part I was really interested in was his religious background, state of mind and his recovery. The parts about Heaven and Hell will stay with me always. This is a true life story of a man who died, went to Heaven, came back forever changed. He suffered untold physical burns.

I met Mickey several years ago and couldn't wait to get his book. I love to hear him teach but never really knew how Mickey came to this point in his life that is full of hope and inspiration inspite of a near death experience from a plane wreck that ravaged his body. The book revealed the transforming hand of God working in Mickey's life to restore a mans heart to Himself with love unending. The book describes a young man focused on satisfying his own pleasures with money and the desire for an extreme life on the edge until the accident took away his entire life as he knew it. When you're bankrupt of yourself what do you do? Mickey knows and shares his story with us.

When you're with Mickey you never see the trauma of his body but the glow of Gods love born out of the transformation from a terrible accident. Instead of falling to earth with the plane Mickey literally fell to heaven and found the heart of God greater than his personal pain. The book is for everyone who wants to see gods love in action and a desire to know that same love for yourself.
