Drive Thru found a gem in this band,
By Alucard (NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Falling Into Place (Audio CD)
I'm a big fan of the bands on Drive Thru. While a lot of them are extremely similar to each other, they each have their moments when they shine. I recently said that The Movielife EP was the best one of the year. Now, I'm not so sure. Finch, another one of Drive Thru's new bands has released one of the most original, addicting, and flat out rocking EPs that I've ever heard. This band, mixes a unique style that really works well. They mix a nu metal sound with an emo one that works out extremely well due to excellent vocals and instrumentals. All tracks here are excellent, with "Perfection Thru Silence" being my favorite. The four songs may seem a bit short, but they each have plenty of depth and feeling which makes them truly well done, you'll have this cd back in your player for quite a while. These guys have released a killer EP, their full legnth hits stores in January, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. If you haven't heard this EP, you're missing out on one of the best new bands out there.

Pure Gold!,
By Will (Norfolk, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Falling Into Place (Audio CD)
This is without a doubt the best EP of 2001. After buying What It Is To Burn I was tempted to check out this EP, and after a while I finally decided to go and buy it (it's only 7 or 8 bucks). I can honestly say it was worth every penny.1. Perfection Through Silence (4/5): This seems like a great fit to start off the EP. However, I feel it is the weak point of the EP, it just seems too average compared to the other songs... 2. Letters To You (6/5): This song alone is worth the 8 bucks. The version on the EP is better than the version of What It Is to Burn...which [is also great]...I just can't say enough about this song, it is just that good. 3. Waiting (5/5): I can't believe this song didn't get onto What It Is To Burn, with the exception of Letters To You, it is clearly the best song on the EP. This song has been blasted over my stereo many times. 4. New Kid (4.5/5): This song grew on me a bit, when I first heard it, I didn't like it too much, but after listening to it a few times it truly has grown on me. This song reminds me on Ender on What It Is To Burn, this is the closest to a slow song Finch can get, if you like Ender you will like this song. Well, what are you waiting for....go buy this EP!!!

AWSOME,

First off. This is a awsome CD. I loved it, and it was worth every penny. The songs "Perfection Through Silence", and "Letters To You" sound even better and cooler then on the What It Is To Burn CD. Waiting, being my favorite on the cd, kicked butt! And the last song "New Kid" was perfect for a slow emo track. Believe me, this is worth purchasing.
