This is a hilarious adaptation of the story of Rapunzel. I read this to students in an elementary special education class and they also loved it. The rhyming makes it fun for the kids to guess what Rapunzel throws down. The prince will say, "Throw down your curly locks!" The next lines would say, "So Rapunzel threw out...." and the kids would have fun guessing what Rapunzel threw down. Another teacher in the room stopped what they were doing and listened to the story as well.

I read this to my kids today and was laughing so much I could hardly read. This book is definately a keeper!

The story is a cute variation of the one we all know.

The rhymes and meter are good--this is so refreshing!!

And while it ends in happily ever after, Rapunzel doesn't have to get married.

When was the last time you laughed out loud at a children's book? I was rolling! So new, a must-have in any contepmorary fairy tale collection.

Great job for a first time author, it won the Moxiemom best first children's book award and I see why. Well deserved.

One of the best new picture books we have read in a long time. The illustrations are adorable and the poetic story is hilarious! This is a must have for every child's library!

This is a "must have" book for any child's library. Both children and adults will enjoy this funny story about a Rapunzel who mis-hears each request of the prince, who is trying to rescue her. Here is a small sample of the story:

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, throw down your hair!

She thought he said, "Your underwear."

"No Rapunzel. Your curly locks!"

Rapunzel threw down dirty socks.

"Please, love, just your silky tresses!"

She thought he asked for silky dresses.

In lace and frills up to his head,

the prince's cheeks were blushing red.

And so on, and so on, this enchanting poem continues with a happy, but funny ending. The illustrations in this book are very colorful and amusing, and each one sentence rhymn has a hilarious picture to go along with it. This book will never be boring no matter how many times you read it!

My daughter (going on 3) loves for me to read this to her. The misunderstandings between the poor prince and Rapunzel don't get old. It's a nice twist on an old story and has quickly become a favorite in our house.

This is the first book I have read to my chilren that made all of us laugh at the same time. The very youngest to the oldest of reading mentors can enjoy the humor in this story. With her unwitting mistakes, Rapunzel is hilarious.

I bought this one in Paperback but want to purchase the hardcover for lasting quality, as this book is destined to be a classic in our home.

Yesterday, I found this book at the library and after one reading, I immediately ordered my very own copy.
It's fun, it's funny, it's fresh, and even the rhyme scans!
The twist at the end was priceless. I will definately recommend this to all my friends.
