5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and gripping Science Fiction
The writers of Kevin Anderson and Doug Beason team up again with the characters, Agent Kreident and gal pal, Paige Mitchell. The character of Kreident continues to be a steady, serious FBI agent with a talent for high tech. The character of Paige is sharpened up a bit from the previous book "Virtual Destruction." She no longer has some of the previous...

2.0 out of 5 stars Probably Anderson's worst
I generally enjoy Anderson's books in a lot the same way I enjoy action movies. Fun to read, but not much substance. Usually he has creative plots and ideas, even if the characters are somewhat lacking. Unfortunately, this books showed no creativity at all. It was boring, the plot was contrived, and the characters thinner than cardboard. He's written quite a lot of good...

The writers of Kevin Anderson and Doug Beason team up again with the characters, Agent Kreident and gal pal, Paige Mitchell. The character of Kreident continues to be a steady, serious FBI agent with a talent for high tech. The character of Paige is sharpened up a bit from the previous book "Virtual Destruction." She no longer has some of the previous childish mannerism portrayed in VD.

The plot thickens and continues to keep you reading through the whole book. The twist and turns entice you to beg for more. This reviewer had to go and hunt down the other books in the series with Agent Kreident after finishing the brillantly written, Fallout.

Usually he has creative plots and ideas, even if the characters are somewhat lacking. Unfortunately, this books showed no creativity at all. It was boring, the plot was contrived, and the characters thinner than cardboard. He's written quite a lot of good stuff, but this isn't part of it. Read Ill Wind or Virtual Destruction instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's an exciting book that will keep you reading all night., June 12, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Fallout (Paperback)
There's not much to say about this book. Simply put, it is the best book I have ever read. For those people who enjoy these kinds of books, you will love this one. It kept me up reading all night. I couldn't get my mind off of it. I was always wondering what would happen. I really enjoyed this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Predictable and stereotypic., January 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Fallout (Paperback)
It reads like an expensive action movie, but isn't. The plot is very predictable as soon as one understands that it uses stereotypes from movies. The science is completely wrong, and the people artificial. Even as a study in stereotyping and author fallacy, it is boring.

1.0 out of 5 stars horrible. you will hate yourself for reading it., August 14, 1997

This review is from: Fallout (Paperback)
i was disappointed that I finished this book but I was out of things to read. it is NOT sci-fi. It is a cheap action story. Much of the action is completely absurd and the writing amateurish

3.0 out of 5 stars Boring, boring, boring and definitely not Sci-Fi, August 5, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Fallout (Paperback)
How could two authors take such an exciting concept and create such a slow-paced, going-nowhere-and-in-no-hurry-to-get-there waste of print. Not sci-fi, not action/adventure, not political/military thriller - this book is just not much of anything. The cover is pretty and the synopsis makes it sound exciting, but this is just stiff, dull writing with predictable plot lines, stale characters and the same ending you've read 50 or 60 times before. To be avoided at all costs

2.0 out of 5 stars The editors of this book must not be fans of Sci-Fi, July 22, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Fallout (Paperback)
This book should not have been sold under the Sci-Fi Tag. It might be ok sold as action adventure, but in no way or form was it sci-fi.

I was very disappointed with this one. You should run away from this book, and never look back

I really liked "Assemblers of Infinity", but I slogged through this one, and put it right into the trash

4.0 out of 5 stars Murder, Moscow and the Militia, March 5, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Fallout (Paperback)
Murder, Moscow and the Militia combine to make a very entertaining mystery-thriller. Domestic terrorist incidents and the murder of a Russian team overseeing the dismantling of American nukes seem unconnected or are they? Great story line kept me guessing all the way through and is another strong book by the Anderson and Beason team. I recommend other Anderson/Beason books like "Ignition" and "Virtual Destruction."

Fallout is a great book with an interesting concept, so I think that everyone should read it who is interested in Sci-Fi novels.
