A MUST HAVE CD,
By shelley mastalerz (ma United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fallow (Audio CD)
The Weakerthans are more than just musicians, they are poets. Their lyrics are so wonderful, they make you think on so many levels. I have all three cd's produced by them, and I can't get enough of them. Their cd's are the type that no matter how many times you listen to them, you can never get sick of because you find something new every time you listen. Their words are pure magic, and will allow you to forget about anything on your mind. Truly their lyrics are so simple, yet so complex, but above all beautiful. So sit back, and relax, and poetry will soon be presented.

A true poetry, positive, revolutionary masterpiece,
By Alex (Cleveland, OH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fallow (Audio CD)
I bought this record after I saw the Weakerthans in Cleveland,Oh on what I believe was their first tour in the states. They blew me away from the first tune of their set, and the next week I bought "Fallow" from their Canadian label, G-7 Welcoming Committee. The way that JKS portrays life is in such a beautifully deep rhetoric that it just incredible. They are truly one of the best bands to ever play music on this Earth. "Anchorless" is basically my definition of the perfect rock song. "Fallow" always puts me in a good mood, no matter what. Thanks guys.

A must have!,
By mat raese (columbus, ohio) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fallow (Audio CD)
This is a truly incredible album. Words cannot describe the subtle nuances of the lyrics, and the infectious melodies. Just the title alone makes a statement about how john feels about his propagandhi days. This album crosses so many musical boundaries that it defies categorization. you must listen to it to understand.
