Compelling read -- Belfast boy trying to find his place and way in life.,
By
This review is from: The Faloorie Man (Hardcover)
Compelling read. A boy raised in Belfast in the 1940s and 1950s trying to make sense of his family and his future. It's hard to say more without giving away the central premise. The characters are very well drawn, the reader gets a real sense for what family life and school may have been like in Belfast, and the story line that develops kept me going without putting the book down for the second half of this 283 page book. Highly recommended.
