5.0 out of 5 stars False Harbor, November 5, 2006
This review is from: False Harbor (Paperback)
I love to see the wit and humor that comes through in Michael Donnelly's novels. His writing style is refreshing and his characters unique. The setting for False Harbor is perfect and I enjoy giving this book to all my boating friends who spend their summers in the San Juan Islands.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting new author, October 26, 2006

This is planned as the first in a series of mysteries.

It is a unique book. The author's descriptions of the landscape and odd characters of the Pacific Northwest are lovely, lucid, limpid

The characters are certainly an odd bunch - one of them maybe unhappily wandered over from an Ayn Rand book into a completely unsuitable family.

A gripping book. Not much physical violence, but plenty of mental stress
