A concisely crafted and well written piece that penetrates a soul-searching heart. The book is a well written thoughtful instructional approach on how to break yourself off from bondage or labels that people put on you. The short stories are not about a victim but about a victorious woman who has navigated difficult times to stand on dry ground. The book offers you hope encouragement and empowerment. It is a refreshing story of self discovery, and how she does this is what makes these short stories a fascinating read. It is full of humor, tremendous hardship and triumph. By the time you get to the end you will find yourself at the frontline of Marie-Claire's triumph.

A little cheesy, but that's to be expected with any book which seeks to encourage, uplift, et cetera. It was good, would recommend.
