I really enjoyed this book. A wonderful story of suspence, romance, mystery, adventure and science fiction all rolled into one. I can't wait for the next book. Keep on writing Pam...

if a book doesn't catch my attention in the first chapter i can't finish reading it. i can't seem to put this one down and sci-fi is not the kind of book that i generaly read. i haven't finished the book yet but i have plenty of people wanting to read it after me.

Pam Calvin's "False Winter" makes the reader want to stay with the characters until the end of time. It has just enough romance, without ruining the thrill of the story line. When you can wrap yourself completely in a story and feel that you ARE one of the characters, you are hooked...and I am! I can't wait to read their next adventure...I have missed Kyla for a few weeks now (like a friend). Watch out, Barbara Delinsky! Pam is a good story teller, plus she stays away from romance only story telling. She will have both male and female audiences enthralled. Her talent amazes me.

Even though I usually don't read science fiction, I really got caught up in this book. It's got something for everyone - mystery, adventure, suspense, romance - and some of the most interesting characters you're likely to come across. Some you'll love and some you'll love to hate, but they always keep you guessing and wanting to know more. Give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.

What an awesome story! From chapter one through the very last sentence of the book - I was hooked. I was rooting for Kyla and Fleet throughout their adventures - and then some. Plus what great character development of Sadie and Sister Samethia and others. Once I got started, I couldn't put it down. The last sentence left me wondering and wanting more. I hope Ms. Calvin continues the adventures of these incredible characters soon. I can't wait!
