Gillin is an apologist for the Nationalist Chinese dictatorship of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek and his wife, May-ling Soong, and her family. When he wrote this slop, he was employed by the Hoover Institution, where the Soong family donated all their archives (after laundering them). In this way, Gillin held on to his stipend, by defending the Soongs and Chiangs in the face of overwhelming evidence of their extreme corruption. His authority can be judged by the fact that he did not even spell Sterling Seagrave correctly in his title. This is pure, unadulterated propaganda, deceitful, and shameful. Doesn't even deserve one star. The Soongs and Chiangs have now lost power, partly thanks to Seagrave's book, THE SOONG DYNASTY. Now that Mme. Chiang has died (at age 105) one of Taiwan's leading newspapers published a blistering obituary, calling her "the most evil woman on earth" and ending by saying: "Good bye, and Good Riddance."
