4.0 out of 5 stars Something Different
Fame, written and performed with John Lennon, is one of Bowies truely great songs and his first #1 hit in America. On this album you will find several remixes which vary in their creativity but still severe to keep up your interest. The largest draw back to this album is that they failed to include the original version, which is superior to all versions on this album...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK for a mix collection...
If you are looking for a full-length album, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a demonstration of DB's versatility in being able to take one song and remake it reflecting what is/was current in several contemporary genres this will be a treat.

The largest draw back to this album is that they failed to include the original version, which is superior to all versions on this album. Perhaps the most stand out track on this album is the remix with Queen Latifah. Anyone enjoying this disk should also check out remix albums of "Little Wonder" And "I'm Afraid of Americans".

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive and not disappointed!!!, April 2, 2001

I'm a big Bowie fan. This album shows Bowie's ability to span 2 generations. The song itself is a classic - TIMELESS not only in its message but its sounds!!! Not only does it span two+ generations BUT it also hits at least three genres - RAP (Queen Latifah), funk, and alternative. Buy it and you won't be disappointed. It will be your next CD obsession for the week!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bowie at his best, August 3, 2000

I got this CD as a joke birthday present. My whole family knows i don't like David Bowie that much. After listening to this, it actually made me realize that i was wrong. david Bowie isn't so bad and this is one of the best albums i've heard in a long time. It is very energetic and you can dance the night away to it, I recommend this to any 80's lover.
