Rented this so that my voice students could watch it. Thought it was very helpful in stimulating discussion for young students interested in a career in the arts.

If you think regular high school is tough, you haven't seen anything yet. Fame High takes competition and pressure between peers to a whole new level. This very real high school in Los Angeles is a performing arts school where you'll find singers, dancers, actors and more. What makes this documentary unique is that its like watching real life musical coming to life. There are lots of fantastic performances. These are some really talented kids at this school but not all of them are going to make it to the big time. There is heart break, arguments, and a whole lot of drama as these Freshmen struggle to find their place. Some of the kids earned some respect. Some of them I felt need to be knocked down a peg, but all in all, this a great documentary that shows you just how much work goes into becoming a star.

This was a great look at a performing arts high school - and the dedication and work that goes into being an artist. I thought it was realistic and showed all sides of the life and future of an artist.
