Fame (The Game) is the latest single from Donna Summer's Crayons Album and it's the best so far! Think 1979's "Hot Stuff" where rock and dance combined. That's Fame, only with Rock, Electronica, Dance, Rap and other surprise elements thrown in to make a fantastic song! Donna Summer's vocals are hot as ever. Toby Gad produced the track to perfection! The remixes are good...there is something for everyone. Club fans will love them. I prefer the Ultimix Extended Album Version which is similar to the 12" singles of the 70's and 80's...where you basically of the original instrumentation and vocals of the original song, just extended and remixed-or re arranged! Old School! The others mixes are fun! Buy them all, you won't be sorry!

A marvelous blend of the past and the present as Summer's strong vocals are taken to another level by the the talents of gifted mixers, taking an already strong track from "Crayons," Summer's 2008 comeback, into the stratosphere.

Magnificent.

Donna Summer's latest single is a Dance/Rock hybrid, much like her earlier hits "Cold love" or "Hot stuff". Penned by Summer and Toby Gad (Fergie's "Big girls don't cry", Beyoncé's "If I were a boy") it is a stomping energetic number with scorching guitars and icy half spoken/sung lyrics looking at the pitfalls of fame. Sample lyrics; "Create a scandal with your reaction/What's that you say/take it or leave it/Paparazzi wanna see you bleeding". It has a nice video accompanying it (Summer's first in some 9 years) that perfectly depicts the fun and energy of the song.

There are numerous remixes and hardcore fans (like me) will want every one of them. My favourites though are the Ralphi Rosario Club Mix (essentially a clubbier version of the song, without the Rock guitars and with additional lyrics), The trance-y Dave Aude Club Mix, the buzzing piano laced "Dan Chase Full Vocal Mix, and the Extended Ultimix Version (essentially an extended version of the album version), but there is something for everyone. If there is any justice, this should be a big hit! To quote from the song, "Fabulous, fantastic!!"
