5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for Children!, March 19, 2010
This review is from: Familiar Birds of North America: Eastern Region (National Audubon Society Pocket Guides) (Paperback)
My nearly 5 year old son is in love with this book. He is constantly pulling it out to identify local birds outside. He carries it everywhere with him and even sleeps with this book.

I love the large, full page pictures (...well, as big as the pages are). They pictures are clear and bright and the information is handy and interesting. I especially like that the book even lists alternate names the birds are known by and their habits.

Only problem is, it gets so much use from our little one that we have to buy a new one every 1 or 2 years. But that's ok, because my son likes to take the pages that fall out and hang them on his wall... yes, he loves them that much.
