Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

This is the 2nd book in our 32 volume 'Irish Families' series. It focuses only on families found in County Kerry and includes families of all religions and backgrounds, including old Irish families and settler families. It follows the master volume to the set, 'The Book of Irish Families, great & small" which contains information on families from all of Ireland.

An outline of the history of the county as it relates to Irish families, and to Irish research, is included, along with an exhaustive history of thousands of Kerry families.

From the Author

Co. Kerry was chosen as the first volume to follow 'The Book of Irish Families, Great and Small' in part due to my own ancestors who were among the 'O'Donoghues of the Glen'. I have made good use of the IGF library, and have included many references from the work of Jeremiah King, noted Kerry historian.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Really Good Book for Research, June 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Families of County Kerry, Ireland: Over Four Thousand Entries from the Archives of the Irish Genealogical Foundation (Book of Irish Families, Great & Small) (Hardcover)
This Book was really helpful. It included census information and actual specific locations of families, and it included more families than any other source I have ever seen on County Kerry. Nothing else has this scope so it is the first book I go to for Kerry info...not another coffee table book, great for those who really want information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed, October 2, 2003
This review is from: Families of County Kerry, Ireland: Over Four Thousand Entries from the Archives of the Irish Genealogical Foundation (Book of Irish Families, Great & Small) (Hardcover)
Just what I needed- even got some info on TRALEE and early settlement. Some names had a lot of info included just on one family. Other families are just given with a location and date!
