Brings Back Memories,
By
This review is from: Family Affair 2: Live at Radio City Music Hall (Audio CD)
I have been listening to Hezekiah Walker for years. However, after "Live In London" Hez has been on my suspect list ever since. I used to buy his albums just because it was Hez. Now, I have to hear his albums before I buy them. This album was pretty good, if you're a person who appreciate history and I'm a person who appreciates history. Hearing classics such as "Lord Will A Make A Way Somehow" and "I'll Make It" brought back a lot of memories. "He's On My Side" was never one of my favorites, but Ted&Shari makes this song wonderful. He's got five new songs on this album, but besides "We Made It" the new songs are not that good. I've tried to listen to them and it's just not possible. As for recording with J. Moss.....let this be the last time. His songs are just not for choirs. It was great to hear Timiney on "Calling My Name". Her voice is wonderful. "When We Get Over There" is another one of those songs. He could have put "Love Lifted Me", "Jesus Is The Light", or any one of his greatest hits. "Anyway You Bless Me" was probably recorded too soon after it was recorded only 5-6 years ago. If you're looking for great new material, it's not on this album. If you're a person who loves old favorites, then this album will be a nice addition to your collection. Be Blessed

I Need You To Survive4,
By A Customer
This review is from: Family Affair 2: Live at Radio City Music Hall (Audio CD)
Hezekiah Walker has been one of my favorite gospel artists since I heard Family Affair. Now with Family Affair 2, He has blessed me more than he will ever know. Song 12 I Need You To Survive was recently played at my church, Speak the Word Ministries International in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. It was dedicated to all of the volunteers of our church that has been there all along the way. Our ushering team, cleaning team, nursery team, bookstore workers, praise and worship, musicians, elders, and associate ministers. Just let me say by the time that song was finished playing through both our services on Sunday October 27, there was not a dry eye in the congregation. Bless Hez Walker and all the other gospel artists that GOD has given great talents to. BLESS YOU ALL

Five Stars Simply Isn't Enough...,

Pastor Hez and the LFC has done it again! Family Affair II is simply the best CD I've heard in quite a while. By adding new flavor to some old favorites, and mixing in some great new gospel, Hezekiah Walker created a gospel music masterpiece that many will be listening to for a long time to come. I was blessed to be able to attend the live recording back in February, and the energy and the anointing that flowed through Radio City on that night is on this CD. Not only did Pastor Hez and the LFC turn it out, but so did Kim Burrell, as well as Ted & Sheri. The remake of one of my all-time Hez favorites, "I'll Make It" wasn't recorded at the Radio City concert, but it's a top-notch remake nonetheless, especially with John P. Kee in the mix. Amazon.com's five-star rating simply isn't enough for this one.

A tribute by Pastor Walker and his famous choir for those who lost their loved ones on the 9/11 incident was recorded at the Radio City Music Hall on February 16th, 2002. The concert kicks off with the introduction by Pastor Donnie McClurkin which leads to "We made it," a powerful song to show that many survived through the tragedy and fear. The live recording also features Kim Burrell and John P. Kee. Two studio recordings "Don't Wait" and "Breakthrough" are also included. The album ends with a slow, emotional song of "I need you to survive" in which Walker asks everyone in the audience to pray and show love for each other.

I was there when this album was recorded, the concert was great and so is this album. Every song is uplifting. When ever I feel down or need some inspiration I put this CD in. Enjoy.

Pastors, Ministers of Music, Chrisitans Everywhere...Get it!,

This CD is a blessing. I read the other reviews and I too share their sentiments on this CD. But to add to all the reviews, the song, "I Need You To Survive"...Pastors, Minister's of Music, Christians Everywhere...Get it! You need to at least hear the message in this song. It's truly time for us to come together, breaking divisional walls and partitions because we do need each other to survive. The Ministry of this song will bless your church Ministers of Music. It's timely...Blessings to you all!

Tribute To New York,
This review is from: Family Affair 2: Live at Radio City Music Hall (Audio CD)
Hezekiah Walker delivered a tribute to New york and the victims of 9/11 and this was really a tough time for him as well.I like many other fans wondered what happened to monique, and in a recent article i read in essence, Hez and Monique seperated in 2000, around the time of the first family affair. This album definitely has some hits. "We made it" is a declaration of faith and speaks not only of New york but Hezekiah personally. The colaboration of "Pastor Hez and Pastor Kee" is pure excellence. I need you to survive is an encouraging ballad that reminds us to pray for one another. Hezekiah walker was struggling personally during this time and i think you can sense it in this recording, but through that you still hear songs that will minister to your hearts, most notibly "We made it",'' I;ll make it, I need you to survive, and The lord will make a way somehow

"We made it,we survived" that is the overall message in 'Family Affair 2'. The live cd is one of inspiration and great gospel music. Hezekiah Walker and the Fellowship choir are dynamic. All of the songs are standouts especially " We made it", "When we get over there" and all of the favorites: "The Lord will make a way somehow", "Anyway you Bless me", "I'll make it". Do not miss the CD for your gospel collection. This is a keeper!

this album is so moving and touching. if you don't know God as your personal Lord and Savior it will make you want to turn your life over to him immediately. this album is so annointed!! it gives you the strength and perserverance to seek God for yourself and not just to go by what others are telling you. to get this album to like getting an divine word from God himself. it will be one of the best things you have done for yourself.

I CAN NOT EXPRESS THE ENTHUSIASM THAT I HAVE IN MY HEART FROM JUST LISTENING TO THESE POWERFUL WORDS "WE MADE IT". THE VERY FIRST TIME I HEARD THIS PARTICULAR SELECTION I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. I JUST FELT SOMETHING ALL OVER AT THAT POINT AND TIME. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO LISTEN AND ENJOY THIS CD. I HAVE NOTED THIS TO BE A JOB WELL DONE BECAUSE "WE WILL SURVIVE" I AM A SURVIVOR.
