Since the "odds" are strongly stacked against them, business families who intend to "beat the odds" require the best available resources(e.g. advisors, family business forums and publications.) As a subcriber for more than 10 years, I've found FAMILY BUSINESS to be the single best publication in the field. This quarterly publication features a wide variety of articles which match well with the diverse interests of family members of all ages and generations. As a consultant to business families, I encourage my clients to take multiple subscriptions, ideally one for each member of the family or at least several to ensure wide readership within the family.

P.S. I also make extensive use of the Searchable On-Line Family Business Library which is part of your subscription. This is a user-friendly archive of hundreds of past articles on almost any family business topic. Worth the price of the annual subscription!
