Carole Gift Page has a way of touching your heart while making you cry! She did it again in this book...Dr. and Mrs. Doug Logan were still in a stage of shock and grief four years after their daughter's tragic death. After all this time, Barbara has kept her daughter's room the same - just like the last day her daughter was there and NOBODY could touch it!!! But things only got worse after Doug's sister and brother-in-law are killed in a tragic accident, leaving their five year old daughter behind. The grief is so unbearable as both the grieving mother and the grieving daughter try to come to terms with their grief. Who would have thought that a devastating earthquake held the answer to their healing? I could not rate this book high enough. It's full of heartache, healing, pain, and tears as the painful process of healing for all three of the main characters takes place. It's always nice to read a story about renewed marriage...

This is one of the first romance books I have read where I have been struck by how real the characters are. This was definitely not a "sappy" romance. The incidents were real to life, and the characters were human in their responses, to God and to each other. I laughed and cried with them throughout, and their victory at the end was mine as well.

The tragic loss of their beloved daughter has been shattering for Doug and Barbara Logan. Even now years later, grief shadowed their every waking moment, and it threatened to destroy the marriage they had been certain would last a lifetime. Now another child with no one to care for her needed them desperately. But could they overcome their anguish and reach out to her and eachother? Could they ever really truly be a family again? I really enjoyed this book. The plot was sweet and the ending maks you want to cry. Mrs. Page is a very good author and I will be looking for more of her books.
