Muscial and vocal talents for the world to hear, July 11, 2002
This review is from: Family and Friends (Audio CD)
This album can be described in one word - eclectic. It is a collection of songs, chosen by the Quailes themselves, to represent their depth and diversity of musical styles.
In this fast-paced world of the music industry, you will not find more talented, hard-working, down-to-earth musicians than the Quailes. Set aside the amazing fact that there are six brothers and a sister from one family and just listen to them! What other musical families (besides The Osmonds) have been together for 30+ years and continue to develop and enhance their skills? With a few exceptions, every vocal part and instrument utilized on this album was performed by the Quailes themselves. A rare and wonderful album by high-caliber musical artists.
This album is truly eclectic - there are ballads, easy listening favorites, latin, dixieland, country-western, swing, and even patriotic songs. The final cut, an acappella rendition of Barry Manilow's "One Voice" is a personal favorite of mine.
There is only one thing better - seeing and experiencing the energy as the Quailes perform live. I highly recommend this album for your musical collection.
