I recommend this tape series to all families with aging parents (or other family members) who may need alternative living arrangements in the near future. The tapes guide you in identifying when additional assistance or care is needed, selecting the right alternative living or long-term care option for your loved one, and staying involved after the move. As a health care marketer, I've had the opportunity to see some of the best models in independent living, assisted living and long-term care; and these tapes identify the features and services you should expect to find in each living arrangement. As an individual who experienced this situation in my own family, I can only say I wish this tape series had been available when my family was struggling with a long-term care decision. It would have made the journey much easier for everyone.

Thanks so much for this video. It is a comprehensive, yet feeling approach to how to meet the challenges of aging parents. It guides family members through the various choices they can make together to provide assistance for their loved one. We feel it is best seen early, before choices are necessitated and as a preparatory measure. In our circumstance, our loved one is already in an assisted living home, but the video gave us comfort, knowing that we have chosen wisely in order to offer a happier and safer life for her.

As a long term care administrator, I see families struggling with these issues every day. This video series is an excellent way to help families think about all the implications and understand what a variety of professionals think are important. The series tells people what to look for and what questions to ask. It also recommends how to begin these often difficult conversations between adult children and their aging parents. Very well done!
