i got this for my birthday, and NO, i'm not 8. The toy itself is fairly well-made, and you can even pose the figure for even more fun. The only thing i wish was that it had more flexibility since even the average barbie doll has more movement. also, the clothes should be made of cloth rather than molded on the doll as that just adds to the quality of the product. now, besides the lack of flexibility and molded-on clothes, i love this little doll.... I already have the Stewie doll and can't wait to get the Peter Griffin in streetwalker clothes... all my friends (who don't automatically assume that only depraved losers enjoy this stuff and realize the satire suggested in them)love these dolls
I do notice that Amazon has a suggested age of at least 8 and up, but simply the fact that Amazon suggests this doesn't mean that a discerning parent is going to go buy it.... i mean, COME ON! ... he's got a blow up doll! while i chalk up their age limit to automation and a minor oversight, i hardly think it should decrease the value of this toy given the facts that: 1. any child under 8 who could get his hands on this will be exceedingly rare and if the kid is THAT determined, he's probably got his hands on far more scary stuff and you simply can't stop kids like that from getting what they want and.... 2. any parent with a 50 or greater IQ will notice the doll, notice the character (its Quagmire, the slut-man!), and would think twice before buying the doll for anyone under 16 (21 for some of those uptight households, if at all). The cartoon itself is a bit on the adult side anyways with its double meanings, innuendo, and politically incorrect satire, and most responsible parents (the kinds who look over their children's toys and what message they give before they buy them) will probably think twice on this toy anyways. ---the point being, any careful parent would never simply rely on the age "suggestions" and those who aren't nearly as careful... well, there will always be those careless souls, and you couldn't make a restriction big enough to prevent them from making mistakes without limiting the freedoms of the rest of us.... SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR PURCHASES... amazon did err, but so would the parent who bought this without reviewing it for their own standards!

The doll is GREAT. It was exactly what my friend wanted for his birthday. We are both HUGE "Family Guy" fans so he absolutley loved it and the price was right. Also, these dolls are VERY hard to find but of course you guys had it and I received in time for his birthday.....

This is safe to give to an 8 year old ? (suggested age range) per the item.
Better yet, how about my nephew. Can't wait for that birthday party. My sister-in-law will be thrilled. Good job...
