5.0 out of 5 stars Best Family Guy Yet
For the die hard FG fans, both segments are hysterical. Being a big star wars fan, I can totally appreciate the amazing attention to detail in the episodes from the music all the way to explosions.
I only wish there was an edited version that I could show my kids. My kids love Star Wars and they have caught me watching FG and they have seen some of the shows...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for Star Wars fans but...
The second edition of this series was not nearly as funny as the first. I might be mad I bought this if I had not used a gift card. But then, it's Family Guys, so it's always at least a little bit funny

I only wish there was an edited version that I could show my kids. My kids love Star Wars and they have caught me watching FG and they have seen some of the shows accidentally and they love it too. I dont let them hear or see anything adult.
I really enjoyed the commentary feature while watching. I like to hear all the behind the scenes stuff. There is some good info to be had here (e.g. Mark Hamill did NOT like the line where Han Solo says his is the only career not completely destroyed by the movie)

5.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars fans be happy, May 4, 2010

This is a great Star Wars parody for any Star Wars fan. It is very clever and seemlessly intertwines Star Wars and Family Guy. In fact, I kind of wish the carbon freezing scene in Something, Something, Something Dark Side happened in the real Empire Strikes back; classic.

Completely worth it for any Star Wars & Family Guy fan. You really have to be a dedicated fan of both to get all the jokes, but if you are, then it is hysterical.

5.0 out of 5 stars A long time ago...sorta, January 24, 2010
This review is from: Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Darkside/Blue Harvest (DVD)
I had originally Netflixed these. Needless to say, I own them now. Both are awesome in their own right. They each have their moments that stick out and their moments that aren't so funny. LOL The best part of either of them is from Blue Harvest, and it is something all Star Wars fans have done at some point or another. During the TIE Fighter battle after they escape the Death Star, Peter/Han is singing the music. We've all done it, whether we'll admit it or not. Maybe not to that particular spot in the movie, but we've done it at some point during one of the movies. But these are classic. The hardest core Star Wars fans may not like them, but if you like either Family Guy, Star Wars, or hopefully both, pick this up. And laugh.

Love these movies. First one was better though, this one contained too much randomness unrelated to Star Wars

4.0 out of 5 stars Two funny Star Wars spoofs in one attractive package, January 14, 2010

Whether you are a Family Guy or Star Wars fan, there is a lot to like about these movies. Knowledge of one or the other is necessary to enjoy most of the jokes, but it is still funny even if some references go over your head. (This is no different than an average episode of Family Guy, where the average person may miss a handful of pop-culture jokes and still enjoy the humor overall.)

Both movies are short. I ordered this set to watch with a friend and we watched both in one sitting, along with some of the extras.

If you haven't seen either movie yet, and can't wait for them to eventually release the third movie (and the inevitable box set), this is a great deal.
