Product Description

Platform: Sony PSP

Family Guy lets you control the kind of over-the-top action you'd see in the popular cartoon. Play as the loveable Peter, the diabolical Stewie and the charismatic Brian. You'll take all three into a wild group of stories that intersect in typical Family Guy fashion.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Mixed Bag of Comedy and Repetative Gameplay November 7, 2006
Platform for Display:Sony PSP
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Family Guy is one of the most talked about shows on television, hands down. It's gritty and crude humor has captivated millions, and has caused it to draw on contraversy and rivalry like no other. Every good show deserves a video game. The Simspons has received plenty, Futurama got a game, Southpark got a game. The list goes on and on. Unfortunately, like those games, Family Guy can just as easily be slapped with a "Fans only" label. Is Family Guy a good game? Well, yes and no. If you love the show, there's more gold here than you can imagine, and it does it far better than any other TV show gone video game has before. Where it suffers, is the gameplay itself.

Throughout the game you'll play as Peter, Brian, or Stewie. Each character has their own set of levels and their own story. All of which are interconnected. Each characters levels also play out far differently than any other characters. Stewie's level are platforming levels. Peter's levels are beat 'em up type levels (set up stirkingly similar to Final Fight) and Brian's levels are stealth levels. So you could say there's quite a variety here.

Stewie is once again plotting to take over the world. This time he's using Peter's satellite dish. Unfortunately Bertrand, his evil brother, is also planning to take over the world. Stewie will ultimately have to go after Bertrand. While this is happening, Peter suffers head trauma and finds himself in the hospital. When he comes to, he thinks Mr. Belvedere has kidnapped his family, and that everyone is out to get him, and now everyone is an enemy to Peter. Finally, Brian has been accused of getting Seabreeze pregnant by Lois's father, Carter Pewterschmidt. The stories eventually connect themselves, and come together.

5.0 out of 5 stars you control the cartoon October 27, 2006

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
how amazing is this . today i brought this game into work to a hardcore gamer . he left work and spent 3 hours in his car trying to complete the game until the battery on the psp gave out to be recharged . my opinion . this will be one of the top games. sure its not grand theft auto , or daxter , or syphon filter .what it is ,is family guy . it has all the elements of the cartoon , all the scarcasam , all the people in the cartoon . this game is funny , witty .its not super hard but if you like fun then get this game. its actually interacting with cartoons. i have to admit i had a problem putting it down myself. if your a fan of the caroton or just like fun then get of the best games i have played and the psp is my main platform. some games like gun or call of duty look great on a pc . but this games fits the psp perfectly . you will enjoy it

5.0 out of 5 stars Freakin Sweet! Love This Game! February 18, 2008
Platform for Display:Sony PSP
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I got this game Christmas day the same day I got my PSP. All I have to really say is...I really like this game. It's funny and fun at the same time. These are the aspects of the game I like and dislike...
Funny, Fun, Entertaining, Exciting (at times), Voices and Graphics are in great quality, and Never Before Seen and Heard Jokes in Game, Stewie
Hard (at times), Took Jokes from Original Episodes and it Gets Kind of Annoying for Awhile, Story is Kind of Weak, and Peter and Brian Are the Least Fun Characters to Play As (not so much Peter)
Overall this game is really fun and i enjoy playing this game
Buy this game or rent it, either way you'll be having fun and might notice some problems but its still good game

I was not expecting much from this, but I love Family Guy, and I got a good deal. If you are a big fan of the show, sure, get it. It's fun to have. But, the game play is just so... young. And it's rated M. The audience that would like this are too young to play it. Go figure. I mean, I have no idea what were doing here. Stewie jumping impossibly high on furniture, on top of buildings and collecting power or something so he can shoot his ray gun etc. eh!

BUT, the graphics are better than expected, and the audio is real, from the show, and is, for lack of a better word, cute. I have not even finished it. But, for a brain cleanse in between something actually playable, it's a good thing to have. I also have the first couple volumes of the actual show i.e. Family Guy, Vol. Two Season 3 [UMD for PSP] on UMD, (out of print and expensive now, sorry) so this plops right in well with that collection.

If it's really cheap, go ahead. If you are not a huge fan, don't bother.
