HEAVEN HELP HER…

Cory Luciuk couldn't forget her painful childhood—or forgive Matthew McKnight for his role in it. Now the man who stood for everything she loathed was back in her life, claiming to hold the key to Cory's future—and to finding her lost brothers. But even a vast inheritance couldn't buy everything she wanted….

Immersed in the family law practice, consumed by long days and even longer nights, Matthew admired Cory's quiet faith and simple lifestyle. He prayed that God would now give him the strength to heal Cory's aching heart—and claim it at last….

More About the Author

A transplanted city girl, Carolyne moved to the country when her fiancee and now husband, decided he wanted to farm. The move took quite well and Carolyne learned to milk cows, herd cows, drive a tractor, can, freeze, garden, bake, cook and preserve. She and her husband raised four wonderful children and took in numerous foster children. Somewhere along the way Carolyne decided she wanted to recreate her own version of the romance novels she loved reading. In her writing she yearns to show redemption and change and the chance to start over. Coming home to faith and love is a thread that is woven through every story she writes.

***A sweet story on forgiveness and letting go of past hurts in order to walk into blessings and love. I admired the strength that Cory has to get through her past and be able to walk into her future. I also admired Matthew's strength of character to give Cory space and to love her with unconditional love. An inspiring read and highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars first love inspired in a long time, August 22, 2004
This review is from: A Family at Last (Stealing Home Series #3) (Love Inspired #121) (Mass Market Paperback)
i had started reading love inspired books before this book, then i abruptly stopped (i can't remember why). but when i picked this book up after a long time, i had such a hard time not flipping to the back of the book to figure out what happens not because it was a bad book. cory really didn't give in so easily and the story wasn't so cliche-ish. i was really pleased w/ this book!! i loved when & how she finally gave in. it's part of a trilogy.
