My name is Steven Burda and I purchased and read this book from start to finish, with interest. Great book. Very insightful. The subject of Family Law and Domestic Relations is near and dear to me, as a dad who loves his kids and family more than anything, I can tell you this reading is work your time. Knowledge is power, and you will learn plenty from this reading. I highly recommend.

Format: Hardcover
I purchased this book for law school. The text itself is good and easily comprehensible for someone unfamiliar with the area. One thing that really stuck out was that most examples and studies quoted are outdated. Frequently, citations will be from 1980-1995. Though the issues raised by the text are still interesting, one cannot help but wonder if the problems posed have already been solved. Indeed, it is hard to compare the legal trends of polygamy and incest with gay marriage when the studies cited are nearly 30 years old. On the check minus, check, check plus scale, this book would get a check.
