There are so many series on television with similar themes, but Drop Dead Diva is the bomb!!!! Characters are incredible and familiar to those we know in our own lives. The writers of this series are beyond brilliant! The sub-stories are on key and sure to attract a substantial following. The guest stars fit right in and the cast was very well cast. Will continue to watch this series for as long as they have it on!!! Join me! You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative, New, Fun and Addictive! August 10, 2012

I came upon this show by accident, as it somehow showed up in my Netflix queue! At first, I thought it was a movie, but was happily surprised to find out it was a television show. After reading about the plot, I was intrigued. At 37, I admit, I love all the weirdo vampire, supernatural shows that seem to be taking over network television right now. And as much as I love them, they do give me nightmares!

This theme is original and presents many real life situations that women in Jane's situation do face in real life! Stacy, her BFF, is great! I just love her in this role. You may remember her as Meg from "How I Met Your Mother." I won't get into the storyline, as I don't usually care to read that in other reviews. But, as a viewer and a fan, two things I have to say. Number 1: Bring FRED BACK! Luke is boring! Number 2: Jane/Deb and Grayson need to get together. I hate how these shows drag out the "meant to be" love affair forever, just dangling it in our faces. I think it all started with Ross and Rachel in friends. Now, it seems to be a common trend. I waited close to 3 years to see Elena and Damon get together in "The Vampire Diaries" and all it was, was 1 kiss. What a let down! I can truly say that as much as I love this show, if Grayson never finds out that Jane is really Deb, it will be a huge let down. I think many other fans would agree. I understand that the writers need to stretch this out to keep us intrigued, but it's at the point now where it is getting "old." I am almost losing interest in the Deb/Jane/Grayson situation, which was the main draw of the show.

I have to ask...why get rid of Fred? He was cute, amazing, and a great actor!! Luke is BLAH!! And is it just me or does Kim Kardashian not know how to act? Or at least, not know how to show expression or feeling? Every scene she was in her guest appearances, her face just never changed! She showed no expression, no feelings, no anything. Why did they even hire her for this? Just for her name? What is her appeal? Seriously? I know she is famous and has her own show, but, what is particular talent, if any? Because it's certainly NOT acting!

Terri Lee is my favorite...so adorable, great actress! Kim plays the perfect "bitch" with a hint of heart. Grayson is adorable, yet, he waited until he went through everyone else to become interested in Jane. I don't like that, and only because he thinks she may be Deb? Parker is good too, your typical playboy. I would like to see him and Kim last. I admire Kim's strength and her slight bit of vulnerability.

In all honesty, this show has me wondering if I am too old to go to law school, being in my 30's!!?? I don't watch any other legal shows, so, this is my only idea of how lawyers are and again, it is a TV show. But, I can't imagine anyone not loving it, as I do. I just wish each season was more than 13 episodes! Brooke Elliot is just so beautiful, amazing, talented and one of the most amazing singers ever! I am so glad they chose her for this role. I can't think of another actor that could play her role better! Her character is the kind of person we all want to be friends with, someone real, and who cares, with real feelings and issues, who stands up for what she believes in.

And, this is a really NICE break from all the vampire and creature shows I usually watch! After watching seasons 1-3 on Netflix, I checked to find more seasons on Amazon and was very happy find Season 4 and immediately bought a Season pass. I hope this show stays on the air for a very long time, and I hope they start adding more episodes per season, as 13 is really lacking. Most shows average 21-23 episodes, so, this is almost half. Please consider more! And, if you haven't watched this show yet, I highly recommend it!! : ) Anyone, any age, will love it!
