Weather alert! A storm front is moving into Little City and it is the players' job to help four families complete their errands (Work, School, Shopping, Play) and then make it safely home before snow and ice make roads impossible to pass. Players use Road Condition, Weather Report, and Winter Service Truck cards to help them plan their maneuvers. Working cooperatively, players determine which family is moved on each turn. Sometimes the storm gets the best of the players and strands a family, just as in real life. A winter storm hits Little City. Granny and Grandpa, Uncle and Aunt, Mom and Dad and your best friend's family have things to do, places to go and errands to run. Your job is to help them out. Drive the cars, get to the places on their lists and try return safely home. Deep snow? Bad ice? You decide when and where to do some plowing or spreading of sand. The weather keeps changing, so you have to be alert. Each game is a different, exciting challenge. Skills of communication, decision making and creative thinking are nurtured. don't get stuck on Fifth Avenue, Dad. It includes: a 12" x 12" board, weather reports, errands, cars, places, snow and ice and service trucks.

I like this game because it uses simple logic to plan how to deal with ice and snow storms. Also, the fact that it is cooperative, makes it a great game to bring up conversation about why or why not to do something. If you've ever lived in the snow belt, having a plan to shovel out is helpful, so this game helps young kids to start learning these skills. I also love that a bag is provided to put all of the little pieces so they do not walk away between games. Amy

My kids love to play this game and get the four families home from their daily errands without getting snowed in. I love that the kids have to work together and strategize about getting everyone home safely without using up all of the sanders and snowplows too early. My husband and I even enjoy playing, because the kids don't fight and the game uses some problem-solving skills, unlike many kids games. Highly recommend.

This is a fun cooperative game. A little easy for the the 8yr old I bought it for, but challenging for her 6 yr old brother. We enjoyed it.
