5.0 out of 5 stars best "mom" calendar
This is the best calendar i have found for my family of 4. I had the 2009 one (just like this one), and i am getting it again this year. There is usually ample place to write each person's daily activities and even a line for another child if we had one...but we use it for our dogs appts with vet/groomer. This one is easy to read at a glance, it is set up like a reg...

1.0 out of 5 stars New design falls apart
This year's new design falls apart! The 2010 calendar attaches with two staples to a backing (for family names), and the weight of the calendar rips it right off once you put it up. I called the company and left a message but no one has called back. Very disappointed, as last year the calendar was better not separated from a backing.

This is the best calendar i have found for my family of 4. I had the 2009 one (just like this one), and i am getting it again this year. There is usually ample place to write each person's daily activities and even a line for another child if we had one...but we use it for our dogs appts with vet/groomer. This one is easy to read at a glance, it is set up like a reg. calendar only with extra lines in each date for family members activities...as long as you keep the jotting brief. I have had one (boynton calendar) that was hard for the family-- mostly my husband :)-- to understand and figure out at a glance.
I LOVE the pocket storage and the magnetic strip for my fridge...both incredibly handy. I use that pocket for all the invitations and notes for upcoming events so we don't lose it, and the magnet is plenty strong enough for the calendar PLUS several things in the pocket! My only grumble is that my hubby never writes his own stuff on his line...but that's not the calendars fault.

3.0 out of 5 stars Helps with organization of a busy household, June 7, 2010

I like the fact that this is a 17-month calendar and there are enough spaces for multiple family members. Makes organization a breeze. My problem is with one portion in the construction of the calendar. At the top there is a plastic bar that goes across. It has a tab, which is great, if one is hanging it up on a nail. The bottom part of the calendar folds up to the top when changing months and the flap is supposed to slide under the plastic bar where the bar holds it in place. The plastic piece is a little too narrow and many times the pages fall back down. It becomes aggravating when you go up to the calendar, thinking you are viewing the appropriate month only to find you may be looking at one of the dates from three months ago !!! Yes, I could rip the page off, seemingly solving the problem. However, there are times I require flipping back to a previous month to verify the date of a previous appointment or event and do not want to rip off the expired month. Wish they would fix the following year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mom's Plan It Calendar, April 26, 2010

I have previously bought this calendar(2009 version), and loved it because it has a very strong magnet on the back so that it doesn't slide down the fridge. I also love it for the pocket, because I love to save things, such as report cards or works of art, and the pocket helps me keep up with those things until I am able to find them a proper home. The pocket is also really good for stamps, or other small items that can easily be misplaced. The calendar is large enough so that I can put several entries on one day, if needed. I have 2 boys who play ball and a 3 month old, so this calendar is very helpful to keep up with all doctor appts and games, and all my extended family birthdays, as well as field trips and schedule changes for work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Family Plan-it, December 21, 2009
This review is from: Family Plan-It Plus - Magnetic 2010 Magnetic Calendar (Calendar)
This is the 3rd year we have used the Plan-it calendar. I don't see a reason to try another. The one-time name write-in on the side is an added benefit & the magnet holds it securely to the fridge. Great way to keep everyone on track with a glance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Annoying to write all family members' names every week, January 7, 2010
I purchased this calendar once, after using the Boynton Mom's Calendar for several years. I thought this would have a similar set-up, where you write the name of each family member at the top of a column for each month, and the dates went down the left side. Instead, this was set up like a standard calendar, and you wrote the names of each family member to the left, in an extra box at the start of every week. Sorry, but I have better things to do with my time than write the name of all four family members 52 times!

Going back to the Boynton calendar from now on! Much more practical!
