5.0 out of 5 stars Family Stone
The soundtrack is really good, but the songs in the movie aren't really on the soundtrack. It is all classical music. It's really good though.

3.0 out of 5 stars An Answer to Your Question...
Maxine Nightengale singing Right Back Where We Started From is what you're looking for. That's the song I wanted too as well as the one by Elvin Bishop. Anyway, enjoy!

As others have noticed the songs you REALLY want on this Soundtrack are missing. For me it was Elvin Bishop's, "I Fooled Around and Fell In Love". I guess it's going to be one of those 'build your own' soundtrack projects.

1.0 out of 5 stars They blew it, May 3, 2006
This review is from: The Family Stone [SOUNDTRACK] (Audio CD)
How could a movie that had such great songs throughout it, blow it by not including them on the soundtrack CD?! I came here to order the soundtrack after seeing the DVD, and cannot believe that none of those great 70's songs are included (as another reviewer realized after ordering). How idiotic!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great... but short, February 5, 2006
This review is from: The Family Stone [SOUNDTRACK] (Audio CD)
When I saw this movie, I just had to buy the soundtrack. The music is beautiful and powerful, but just toooooo short. A son was like, 40 seconds long. I was really dissapointed by this, but still... buy this. It's very excellent and divine

1.0 out of 5 stars The Family Stone, August 13, 2006
This review is from: The Family Stone [SOUNDTRACK] (Audio CD)
I completely agree with all the other reviews. What a disappointment. All the music is instrumental, it isn't the fun music from the movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars love the score, October 23, 2006

The score for this film fit the emotional, heart warming, and funny feel that this amazing movie gave. I loved the film and loved the music.

4.0 out of 5 stars The name of the song..., May 13, 2006
This review is from: The Family Stone [SOUNDTRACK] (Audio CD)
No review....but the name of the song is "Count on Me" by Jefferson Airplane. They also played "Miracles" by JA in the jukebox scene.

After seeing the film and loving the music i was very excited to purchase the cd. Upon receiving it I was very dissapointed. The CD is actually only the classical pieces composed especially for the movie. The actual songs played in the movie like, "Fooled around and fell in love" are not on the CD. If you want the CD for that music don't bother. I do like the music but an entire CD of almost the same song played fast then slow is not what I was after. I do have a baby and it puts her to sleep so it wasn't a total loss.
